Pirates of the Burning Sea Gold, I hope I can get more. There are a handful of graphics features which will be available only to DX10 users. These are mostly minor visual upgrades with the exception of the dynamic which are a pretty dramatic changes. Specifically these are the feature we have implemented. Dynamic outdoor shadow maps, it is our big upgrade for DX 10. Outdoors will use dynamically rendered shadow maps. Buildings will self-shadow. Tree cast shadows on players and in very hight ultra high. Water improvments, the water now has soft shorelines and uses ture depth calculations to determine the amount of fog visible. The practice will now fade when they intersect with other geometry to avoid harsh lines. Far terrain, the far terrain lighting is improved for DX10 users. This effect may not be visible yet in all parts of the world. This is also only on by default in very high or ultra high.
In addition to content additions, chapter 11 brought with it the addition of DX10 code to the potbs Doubloon. Like world of Warcraft and similar online games, when the patch goes live across all servers you must update the game to this new patch before you can play. Therefore this patch is mandatory if you wish to play.
