I walk upon the sidewalk, it is a Lucky day.
A call for lunch, response: "I'm on my way"
Before I ever get there, a glimmer nips my eye.
A shiny new looking coin, I almost passed it by.
My feet step closer to, the glistening bit of change.
I look and find it not familiar, it is a little strange.
A rare coin indeed, a lucky one,
Foreign made, laying in the sun.
Today is great, and such a find,
to see a coin, that will soon be mine.
Not only that, the head is up.
Are you that lucky? I say, yup.
Before you come with me, a piece of eight.
I must grasp your form, and lift your weight.
I lower toward, your resting place.
Reaching to, without much haste.
But as I try to grab, my treasure found,
I first must ask, Who the hell super-glued you to the fucking ground???!!!
Try it.
Super-glue a quarter outside,
in front of a restaurant,
go inside,
order something,
sit next to the window,
and prepare to laugh your ass off.
Best of wishes in all your future endeavors & ♥ ∞,
— the one without shade
