Who's reading CreativeWoman (614):
I've spent the morning putting up a few ads on Craigs List directing people to the various items in my Etsy shop.  That took a long time because my computer is really slow uploading pictures because I deal with dial up.

Just for the heck of it, I applied for an online clerical job today that is supposed to pay well.  I saw it on a local radio station's site, so I polished my resume and sent it off.  My resume needed to be updated anyway.  It is ready now just in case something I can't resist applying for comes along.

My husband is dead set against me "working out" from the farm.  So, this job, if I were to get it, wouldn't cause too much of an uproar.

I'll happily keep knitting and creating things to sell whether I do or don't.

Right now I have a baby snuggie on the loom.  Yesterday, I bought a cute little life size baby doll to photograph it in.  I plan to make a few others too, so it should be a good $10 spent at a Dollar General store.  There really are some fancy baby dolls out there.  I never dreamed how much they cost these days.  I'm sure they were much cheaper when I was a kid because I had lots of them.  :-)

I made a Creole soup for lunch today that was very low carb.  I liked it, so it will probably become one of the staples around here in my diabetic victory march.

The weather radio has already alerted again today.  My little corner of the world is under a tornado watch until 9:00 p.m. tonight.  Hot and humid summer air is moving in today, so I suppose it is clashing with the cool air and will go boom.  I'm ready for the rain to stop for a little while though.  We are bordering on having too much.  As I write this, it is clouding over and I hear thunder in the distance.

I have some dishes to finish washing.  Then I will exercise and settle in for some time with my friend, the knitting loom.

Thanks for reading.

I'd love to see the baby snuggie.  I think I know what that is, but am not sure.  I bet that sells very quickly.

    uni,
I hope it sells fast too.  I'm making this one is a very dainty white yarn.  :-)  I will post a picture when it is done.  I might get it finished today if I'm lucky.

Stay safe, it's hot as hell outside today !  I sure as hell don't need any bad weather coming thru here. I'd rather deal with the dial up then the homing pigeon method . . . just too much crap to put up with ;o) .  The Creole soup sounds tempting. Good luck in your search for financial success and remember strategy is very important.

You're a busy bee, CDub -- wish I had some of your ambition.  I admire your creativity and determination to make things happen.  :)  Willing to share your recipe for Creole soup?

    CayenneMan,
I agree that dial up beats the heck out of pigeons too.  I'm not really complaining.  It's a lesson in patience I guess.  I do try to develop strategy for my online things. For example, I work at getting my word out about my diabetic blog and crafts on Twitter. That's just one of the things I do.  I'm always open to suggestions if you have any.  :-)

    Mimi,
Thank you.  I will post the Creole Soup recipe.  It's super easy.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the job!  That'd be pretty nifty for ya.  That soup sounds awesome and I know I can get my dad to eat that.  I'll have to file that one away for a cooler day.

    Hege,
We'll see.  Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.  I'm just going to put it out of my mind until I hear something.  :-)  I have my looms and opportunity there.  I want to get several things done because then I'll be ready for the Christmas shoppers.

Keep us posted about that online job. I am beginning to think all those jobs are bogus scams. Some just want a fee, and then another fee, and then another.

    ALIEN,
This one seems to be on the up and up so far.  I already have received a response this morning asking me some interview questions.  Maybe I have stumbled across something legit.  We'll see.
