just poke your eyes out with a pair of scissors?
I do every single time I see Obama giving a speech.
I did not allow the TV on at all until about a month ago. I only listened to talk radio and people. My close friends would turn it off real quick or change the channel if I heard the words President and Obama in the same sentence. Together, the words horrified me.
I watched every debate and I remember him being asked about his weakness. He said that he could not keep his papers straight. That he would delegate "good" people to do that work. If people handed him his papers more than 5 min or so before the speech, he would LOSE THEM.
He doesn't care what the paper's say, he just reads them. I guess you can give him that much. We will use that for mitigating circumstances if we have to. "He didn't mean it, he was just reading what his advisers gave him."
I don't think he was wise or is being wise with whom he appoints either.
Transparency. He wanted everything out in the open, accountable. Now, it is under lock and key more than ever.
Transparency.
Is HE a little more transparent now? His visitors aren't. Lobbyists either, of course.
Now, I can't find that part of the debate at all. Maybe it only happened in my head. I remember thinking "PUPPET!!! DANGER!!!"
No one remembers it but me. Nevertheless, I remember thinking he should never be allowed in there after that. I had other reasons, but that was the dealbreaker.
I also see sniveling politicians crying about the so hard choice of standing by their word vs. getting elected again. Boo hoo. Get a different job.
I think "WE THE PEOPLE", as a WHOLE should throw the politicians that never show up to represent us off a cliff, then the liars (while we still have a paper trail) and watch them for a while. Are they representing us or themselves? Themselves? OFF THE CLIFF! and so on..
When we think we have it just about right, we won't really so then we need to stop paying politicians, or better yet, per diem.
Has anyone ever asked why we outsource our money to a private corporation? (federal reserve)?
Federal government is not doing what it is there to do. It's busy doing other shit.
Bottom line.
Is the Constitution just paper now, something to be edited and put in textbooks chosen by our government to teach our children history?
I think it is.
Just paper. It looks like it's been through the washer...
