I wanted to give you guys an idea of my new job since it has taken me away from here. LOL. Well it is with a company here called SPHS: Southwestern Pa, Human Services. That is the parent companym, one of the programs they have is the Care Center which has drug and alcohol counseling, counciling, DUI classes and this new program..it is a trial thing that no one has ever done before: specialized residential. We are helping a girl try to get some semeblance of a normal life. She has things happen to her that you wouldn't imagine. Makes Law and Order SVU look mild.
Because there is confidentiality issues with this job I cannot talk to my boyfriend or family about things. I give them general things, but I cannot go into details, but my boyfriend doesn't understand and he complains about it. I also work shifts which makes it rough on my body, but I don't mind the job is worth it right? There are good days like a few days ago we played Wii and watched a movie with our client. But other days are bad days when she remembers things and we have to help her through it. The things that I hear and see cause she draws pictures...have caused me to cry and my co-worker and I have been talking about things. He used to be a cop so he is trying to teach me how to block the images. My boyfriend doesn't like that either, but my bosses told us we need to take advantage of our co-workers and I get a long with Jeff and Melissa so we are the three that talk to each other.
I got my first paycheck and things seem like they will be able to pick up for me finacially. I just gotta be smart about it and I think I will.
