  In my opinion, yes. Why should homosexuals be stripped of their right to have children? They should have just as every right to have children as a "traditional" couple. So long as they are good parents, then why not?

Their are different beliefs, different ways of living, and ultimately it's ever persons choice how they live their lives and what they do. Catholic churches should just step down and stop trying to run everybody's lives.

  I think they should be allowed to.  They are perfectly capable of offering the same amount of love and care that a heterosexual person would.  To be fair, sure, fine, make sure they understand the difference between heterosexual and homosexual so they can make their own decision about that, but neither should be enforced as "right" or "wrong".  To each their own.  We can't walk around and assume we know what's best for everybody ... similar to Beyond's post recently.  Who are any of us to assume we know what's best for anybody else but those who we are directly responsible for?  Even then sometimes we make poor choices!

  I am a firm believer in the tradional family -- a father, a mother, and children. If a homosexual has children (maybe they tried hetero and jumped ship), they, of course, have every right to raise their child. I do not think adoption by a homosexual is fair to the child, who has no say in the matter. I think homosexuality is a perversion that children should not be exposed to. That, of course, is another debate. Plus, a child molester could pose as a homosexual (claiming "that is why I am not married") just to gain access to a child or two. The children would not know what was going on for years. Can we take that chance? An adopting couple (man and woman) is risky enough. Even in those cases, children are put in really bad situations.

  Yes.  We can take that risk.  Particularly since you know, a child molester has to submit to a background check (I knwo for a fact because I PERFORM THEM) before adopting.  If they've never been caught obviously a a check won't show anything but since the vast majority of rapes and molestations are due to close family anyway I doubt the risk is higher.

  Hell just based on the number of people like you in the world who would abandon their own children or siblings if they pursued a homo life of perversion added with the fact that depending on the age of adoption children lose their ability to trust adopted kids are probably safer across the board than traditionally raised ones.  Not that that really matters.

  I'm a firm believer in adoption in general. There are far too many children out there without families for someone to say that someone who is perfectly qualified (financially sound and stable) who has plenty of love to give should be denied the right to adopt because they are homosexual. My mother is a lesbian. I turned out just fine. I had a normal childhood. My father was around (for the most part) and I had two moms.

  Why punish a child who doesn't care who adopts them as long as they are loved and cared for appropriately just because YOU may not believe in homosexuality?

  Live and let live. As long as they pass the standard any heterosexual person or family is required to pass, they should be able to adopt. Period.

  Two people of the same sex can not have childern. Don't you think there is a reason for this? Same sex relationships where not meant to be. So here we are again with a moral delima and how are we going to handle it? Lets further erode our moral standards, in 50 years we have made a 180 degree change, thats scary! I say yes after they have been cleared by some sort of agency or sompin. I mean after all this is not the norm. Man + Women = Childern........... simple math!   ABSOLUTELY! it makes me sad that this question even needs to be asked. why all of the discrimination? if a child is raised based on love, if a child is loved and taught how to be a good person, does it matter who the parents are? shouldn't the focus be on the kid rather than the parents? homosexuals have the ability to raise a child the same as any other person...... i say look at the child, not the parents, or at least look at the parents and judge them as parents, not their sexuality!! i am straight as an arrow, but i have several gay friends.... many of them are just as or more "ethical", "non-judgemental", "loving" people than half of the heterosexual people i know. why shouldn't they be granted the opportunity to have a child? like i said, why is this even a question?? it's ridiculous!! the answer is YES nothing else!!!
