I've always thought this was a great song...  Never mind the headband.  It was very cool in the 80s.  :)

Baby I see this world has made you sad
Some people can be bad
The things they do, the things they say
But baby I'll wipe away those bitter tears
I'll chase away those restless fears
That turn your blue skies into grey
Why worry, there should be laughter after the pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now
Baby when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
I know it isn't hard to say
But baby just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love comes shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way
Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now

Thanks for stopping in for a listen...

Just listened to it four times.  I wish YouTube had a repeat button.

good song.  I have to admit I got sidetracked admiring the fact that they obviously have classical music training.

Yeah, that is a good song, I tend to like it when I happen across it on the radio.

Glad everyone enjoyed the song.  I've got a few buddies coming over so I'll come back a little later to catch up with the rest of yas.

Amore:  It's funny that a guy who knows so many cover songs (me) prefer the originals, no?  :P

Unicorn:  Isn't it though?  So timely too, I thought.

trav:  Umm...  Mark Knopfler is better known for his chops, I'd say.  He's an alright vocalist.

Hege:  Dire Straits have a couple of awesome albums worth listening to, IMO.  Their self titled album and one called "Brothers in Arms" are both excellent.  I recommend them highly.

Alyss:  Hope things are on the up and up for you.  Glad I was able to send you a little reminder.  :)

Amore:  I do like the Killers' version, too.  Especially the video you put up where they're talking about the song, too.  You know the song's one of my favorites.  :)

ddame:  Dire Straits was a British band that formed in the late 60s.  Mark Knopfler was called, "the best guitarist in Rock n' roll".  High praises indeed coming from Eric Clapton.  The video ginger put up is one of their best songs...  :)

Twyla:  I'll sigh along with you...  Sigh...  :D

uni:  I'm telling you, that Mark Knopfler is a genius!!!  :)

Mimsy:  Now I can't stop listening to Romeo and Juliet...  :)

Love them or hate them?

I am old enough to remember the Saturday Night Fever craze. The soundtrack filled with Bee Gees songs will always be one of my favorites. I got caught up in the disco fever of the day....
