I'm procrastinating going to Wal Mart to pick up my prescriptions. I'm down to one anxiety pill, so I guess I better got do it.  I already called them in this morning.  I waited it out purposely so that I could get all of my prescriptions filled on the same day.  My pharmacy is a bit of gestapo on how many days ahead of the last refill that you can refill again.  They blame it on the insurance, but I suspect it is partially internal policy.  Hopefully, I have beaten them at their own game.  Except, I just now realized I forgot the damn Nasonex!  Oh well, I'm not out.  I'm gonna need the doctor to give me refill anyway next month.

While I'm at Wal Mart, I'm going to pick up one of those hairstyle magazines.  I have an appointment tomorrow morning to get a haircut.  I have been waiting too long for that too.  I'm looking a little haggard.  My hair is short so I like to have a photo to explain what I want when I get in the chair.

I'm also going to get some hair color.   I think I'll go with some sort of ash blonde or ash brown.  I've been told that will take the natural red tones out of my hair.  I think that might be nice for a change.  I think the sun will probably bring them out anyway, but I'll give it a try.

I was working on my diabetic blog today and discovered that I've gone over the 16,000 page views mark there.  I don't get the number of readers that I do on this blog each day, but it is growing.

I've been knitting on my loom, too.  I have another bag almost completely finished.  It just needs some handles.  That will go up on Etsy too.

Maybe I will pick up something for supper while I'm in town.  I've been a good little diabetic today so far today.

Well, off I go.  See you later.

I remember a year or so ago when you had your hair done and posted a pic, sans face.  Or am I dreaming?  Anyway, the new do and color is always a nice mood enhancer.  Good luck on your "looming sales."  Ha.  What's for supper?

(I had chicken terryaki subway and strawberry-banana ice cream!)

    ABOVE TOP SECRET,
I always rub down the handle on my cart with hand sanitizer.   I hate germs.  lol

    wombat,
You are right.  I did that.  My hair is shorter now and more reddish brown.  I'm always changing things up a bit.  I've always been that way since a teenager. :-)

For supper I had a hamburger, banana, and sugar free chocolate chip cookies at the lake.  I took it with me and looked through my hairstyle magazines.

CW, yeah, I used to tend to be bad with ordering my scripts for my blood pressure meds too.  I just hated having to call and deal with the ordering process sometimes with Walmart because it can be soooo slow, but I can't complain a lot because at least they were only $4 a piece!  So far as the hair color, sounds like it'll be lovely!  I kind of want to do that sometime, go have my hair trimmed, dyed and styled just for the heck of it.  Lol, baby steps though ... that costs money that we don't have, so for now I'm going to settle with enjoying this new perfume that I had lying around but never decided to start spritzing on until last night.

    Wishy,
It was lovely.  I plan to go there more often now that the weather is nice.  :-)

    Hege,
It all went well this time except the lady got my last name wrong at first.  That's a lesson to always spell it out.  I shouldn't assume they might remember me because they don't.  I get a big break on my prescriptions there too.

I don't have my hair colored at the beauty shop.  Here it costs $50 for a color and I can get Revlon color at Wal Mart for $2.97 and do it myself.  So, that's what I do.  I do pay for my haircuts though.  I'm not that talented.  lol  Those hairstyle magazines give a lot of good tips.  I am so girly.  lol

Enjoy your perfume.  I wear it everyday.  (Usually the imposter Ralph Lauren.)  I like smelling good even if it is just for me.  I like when I come home from being gone somewhere and still smell it lingering in the house.

CW - Oh yeah, lol, I remember you talking about doing the dye jobs at home, I just someday want to have it done professionally just for the heck of it.  I've dyed my hair twice ever and I didn't even do it myself ... it would have ended badly ... very badly, lol.  Oh I'm loving the perfume.  I never know how much of a thrill it could be to catch a whiff of it and be like 'Oh that's me!  I smell good!'
  • CreativeWoman said on Jun 08, 2009....
    Hege,
It's probably the romantic in me that digs the lingering scent of my own perfume.  lol  Or I could just be off my rocker.

My pharmacy does that required number of days too, CDub.  If it's too soon to refill, a polite prerecorded voice tells you, "I'm sorry, it's too soon to refill that prescription."  I was told it has to do with insurance.  I've so far not been able to coordinate it so I can pick them all up on one day.

Diet Pepsi, huh?  I thought you were a diet Dew drinker.  :)

I have to go see the dr to get my prescriptions refilled..she's such a nag!  Lol, Hotaka, that sounds like my husband, "Did you take your Prozac?  Did you take your Prozac?  Did you take your Prozac?"  He thinks I'm going to kill him in his sleep if I don't take it, bwa ha ha....hmmmm..
I love that Walmart offers those wipes for the cart handles, now I don't have to use my own.

    Hege,
Sometimes we find our joy in small things.  :-)

    queen,
I might put something up on FB.  :-)

    Mimi,
That's what they tell me too.

Wal Mart has been having a sale on Pepsi products.  Much to my chagrin there was not a drop of Diet Mountain Dew to be found in that store.  So, I had to resort to Diet Pepsi. Dirty rats. :-)

    hotaka,
No melt down for me.  I now have 30 more of those precious little jewels.  :-)

    Twyla,
I have to do that the first week in July.  My doc is pretty funny, but I don't this next a1c is going to be a good one.  I've struggled quite a bit this quarter.

    Your husband cracks me up.

CW...yeah, he's a goofball.  I keep telling him Prozac isn't a situational med like Valium is.  He say's "Oh. Ok. Did you take it yet? Don't forget to take it. Did you take it yet?"
    Oy.
  • CreativeWoman said on Jun 09, 2009....
    Twyla,
Lol.  Mine says he sees a difference if I don't take my Zoloft.  I hate the fact that I need it though.

Ask your guy if he would feel better if HE took a Prozac.  lol

hey there!!! any lunch/dinner eaten by a lake automatically steps up in flavor and enjoyment simply because you're eating it by a lake :) hope your hair color turns out well! nothing like a new spiffy color to perk you up :)
  • CreativeWoman said on Jun 09, 2009....
    Mimi,
    :-D

    ginger,
I don't usually let them run that low but I was aiming for that magical date that would let me refill them all at the same time.  I have come to dislike my trips to the pharmacy.

    fraggles,
You are right about that.  The lake makes everything better.  :-)

I've gotten my hair cut with lots of layers to accentuate the natural curl I've developed since being on diabetes medication.  (Crazy!)  It was bone straight before.  It's a if you can't beat it, join it kind of thing.  I haven't colored it yet.  I'll do that later today probably. (There's a pic at FB.)
