"There’s no evidence Saddam Hussein had a relationship with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his Al-Qaida associates, according to a Senate report on prewar intelligence on Iraq. Democrats said the report undercuts President Bush’s justification for going to war"

The United States should have been looking to the C.I.A., the bin Ladens and the Saudi Arabian government for answers after September 11. Iraq was unjustly invaded, as well as Afghanistan. The citizens of those countries have suffered enough from the effects of civil war, the Taliban, Saddam Hussein, the persecution of minorities such as the Kurds, Pakistani foreign interference, Soviet warmongering and CIA interference. Why invade an impoverished nation? They did not find Osama bin Laden. Even if they did, it is one dent in the huge circuit of Islamic extremism that supports the underground existence of al Qaeda.

I agree. I say pull out of Iraq, let Sodamn Insane have his
position back, and then offer a ten million dollar reward
for bin Laden and a five million dollar reward for any other
high ranking terrorists--no questions asked. I figure we
would find them in no time (money motivates) and it would
be cheaper than the war in many ways.

However, I did not read that article. I cannot bring myself
to spend a second on any article that might portray
    Sodamn as a good guy.

I worry that Iraq will head into a civil war and that the majority of Muslims, who are followers of the Shiite sect, will lose their chance at establishing a democratic regime. The Oil for Food program punished them severely while they lived under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein was a follower of the Sunni sect and did not allow the Shiite sect to participate in government. They form the Muslim majority in Iraq. He also dragged Iraq into an expensive and destabilizing war against Iran for reasons one can't even begin to ponder. The war lasted eleven years and was fruitless. Nobody won and there were severe military and civilian casualties on both sides.

I fear that the blame will be on our hands as members of First World nations because we have already done enough damage through cultural imperialism, globalization, militarism, bad U.N. policy towards Third World nations through the IMF, WTO and World Bank, and Bush's foreign policy.

We actually have a $50 million reward for bin laden. We've had it since 2004.

    huh?

Even if Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, what does that have to do with September 11? I don't see how invading Iraq brought about any justice or compensation for victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center. Has anyone heard an explanation of why they did it? I thought it was dangerous to mess around with Iraqi politics and the possibility of nuclear weapons being used against soldiers and civilians never seemed to enter Bush's mind.

I just watched a DVD called 'confronting the evidence' I've written a blog, I was stunned as it took me out of my comfort zone, Your president needs to go, and so does our primeminister.
