Hi, Im in highschool and summer is about to come and I have ran out of GOOD things to read. I love to read books and thought that the people on soulcast would be a great group of people to ask:
What is a good book you would recommend?
 My favorite books are:
 Dirty white boys
 punish me with kisses
 point of impact
 innocennce
 cell

And i havent really found any books that have interested me since. So what is your favorite? i like msterious twisted plot, poetic, discriptive, books. maybe a hint of romannce but not the lubby dubby kind where the girl finds the perfect hot guy and they live in the land of forever. romance like....well ill give an example, Punish me with kisses, this girl was in love with her dad , well they were in love and she ended up fucking everyone in herr small island and killing herself becuase he stopped showing how much he loved her, but you wouldent of known untill almost the end of the book. and in innocence a vampire lady that works at a highschool only drinks virgin blood so she gets with the new girls dad to attempt it, so she will stay young.  Please help!!!

Hi Unicorn......you love reading? Guess what.....you are one of my fav now...:-)

    You ask for books....uhmmm...
Lets see...how about starting with some good classic?
Trust me, they are still the best around..

Try to read great romances like:
    Anna Karenina (Tolstoy)
    Emma Bovary (Flaubert)
    Wuthering Heights (Emily Bronte)
    The Notebook (Sparks)

    Some teens oriented books are:
"The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis.
"Hidden Camera," Zoran Zivkovic (its light mystery, makes you think).
"West with the Night," Beryl Markham, its good non-fiction romance/adventure, as is
"Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, Ph.D. (she now writes for "Mademoiselle").
"Hope Rising" and "Bridge Called Hope," Kim Meeder, might be good, they're true stories about teens and horses.

The Little Prince  (a classic from Saint-Exupery)

Did you read the Dark misteries trilogy?
    -The Golden Compass
    -The Subtle Knife
-The Amber Spyglass. They are great, mystery, fiction, some hint of romance here and there but not too much, the heroine is a young girl lookign for her roots and her father.

"A Spell for Chameleon" has the most modern romance of these (teen). A large portion of Vance also has plenty of romance

    Other classics are:
    Tithe
    Ironside
    Eragon (love it )
    Eldest
    Dark angel
    Howl's moving castle
The phantom of the opera (superb)

There are way too many good books out here...but if you Google what you are looking for you will have endless lists of good books.

For me, just few of my favorites.....Marguerite Duras, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Paulo Coelho, Isabela Allende, Pablo Neruda.

There is a whole world of books out there..go and grab one...:-D

I don't know the books you mentioned, but from what I can make of them, I'd suggest Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh and Exquisite Corpse by Poppy z. Brite.

    Other good books....
    Fairyland- Paul j. MacAuley
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas- Hunter S. Thompson
Down and Out in Paris and London- George Orwell
    Cloudstreet- Tim Winton
The Man Who Was Thursday- G.K. Chesterton
    Lolita- Vladimir Nabokov
    Mother Tongue- Bill Bryson
    Six Easy Pieces- Richard Feynman.

Hope those are a good place to start.
