I think everyone should be educated on gun safety and OWN A GUN. Educate your children immediately on gun safety. Make adjustments as to whatever your situation is, but just get a gun.

The Laci Conner law was important in that it makes the killing of a pregnant woman far more severe. We course can debate the differences of killing a woman who has found out she is pregnant a week ago versus a 8 month pregnant woman. Some would say they are different.As far a choice, our country tells 17 years olds that can't decide for themselves that cigarettes are bad but can regarding abortion. That is EXACTLY why it is NOT important. The law was created because of outrage (over one case), to be able to throw on another charge, keep them in jail longer. But it's effects are far more outreaching.
Say ur out with a girl and it comes up in convo that she's not pregnant. (? work with me). anyways, later on someone slips her a mickey, she goes crazy whatever, she goes psycho and tries to seriously kill you. U must kill her to survive. Later, turns out she is pregnant. She didn't know. And she might not have, the way that law is written. What happens then?
The media picks it up and runs with the "Laci Law" and your ass is grass.
Multiply that by 2.
You can't walk up to a guy outside the gas station and ask him to go in to buy you an abortion.
Who tells them that? never heard that.

Why don't we then just call all pregnant women "incompetent" and take away all of their rights. I don't think so.
