  BTW, how many women do you know who would actually gouge themselve with a coathanger? How many women do you know first hand that have done that? From all I have read, it happened very, very rarely. More likely some babies were self aborted by abusive fathers punching out the mother. That I would believe. Still not a reason to make murdering babies legal.

  alien - because abortion is legal, I know no one who has used a coat hanger, as you already know.
  I Do know people who have done other things as you described, it's cheaper & easier, for pregnancy is often inconvenient for the male. 
  
  It takes 2.  Men can make laws and be ever so opinionated, yet, I see a lot of them not even considering that a man did have some role in the conception.  But technically, they can do whatever they want because it's not a life yet, (sort of like god, how can it be real if you can't see it?), he blames her and getting pushed down some stairs is not called abortion or murder.  It's called an accident and swept under the rug, assuming it ever came out in the open in the first place.  Sterilize it. 
  
  As you all also know, many blogs were going at the same time about abortion... 
  
  If you were reading them, they turned into crap and I, as a woman, apparently should have NO opinion because I have no children. 
  WHY?
  FORETHOUGHT.  Yet, my opinion means nothing.
  
  And what of the men?  I believe if they shoot the load, they hold as much responsibility if you are going to use the argument about women not being able to hold her liquor.  COME ON!

  No, what I'm saying is that regardless of the law of the land, when a woman turns up pregnant statistically it is either the woman's family or the would-be daddy who makes the decision to abort more often than the woman themselves. That is deserving of a "choice," so what I'm saying is that if the man isn't going to take responsibility for the pregnancy, then he should not have an opinion -- and should be hammered with child support when the woman has her child -- and should not be allowed to seek custody thereafter. As far as old white guys making laws about pregnancies, well, yeah, they're morons. Ted Kennedy. 'Nuff said.
