After subsisting on pure hype for weeks, Dell came clean with real specifications Laptop Battery and pricing for its upcoming Adamo line of notebooks.

Measuring 0.65 inches in thickness, Dell says it's thinner than any other laptop, including the MacBook Air. The screen is a 13.9-inch 16:9 HD display. A 1.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor powers the machine, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 128GB solid state drive for the basic model, which will cost $1,999.

A higher-end Adamo, priced at $2,699, includes a 1.4 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and a 3G card, Gizmodo reports.

More importantly Hp laptop battery than the specs -- which certainly aren't ground-breaking -- is the style, which Dell is promoting above all. The aluminum laptop, available in Onyx or Pearl, arrives in a "'floating' plastic case for minimal clutter," Dell says. The name "Adamo" is derived from the Latin word meaning "to fall in love." Paper-thin models abound on the product's website, balancing the four-pound notebooks in their hands like dinner plates.

But as Larry Dignan as ZDNet notes, this approach might not be wise, given the economic climate. Dell is putting forth an admirable effort in showing its stylish side while ignoring harsh realities. Gartner predicts that notebook sales will rise this year, but most of the growth will be in netbooks, which are inherently stylish because of their cuteness. Will a $2,000 notebook be able to buck the trend, even HSTNN-UB02 if its specs don't quite match the price?
Two new MP3 players from Samsung are set for an April release, including one that provides a nice counterpoint to Apple's latest iPod Shuffle.

So let's talk about that one first. The Samsung YP-U5 (or just the U5), is a standard stick player that stores 2 GB and includes a built-in USB jack, FM radio, an FM recorder, EQ adjustment and Samsung's proprietary DNSe sound enhancement.
With five available colors and a slim HSTNN-DB02 design, you might think of this as a competitor to the iPod Nano, but I've got the U5 in mind as a Shuffle rival. Even though you can control the songs you're listening to, the $39 price point and the ability to use your own headphones makes it an attractive alternative to the third generation Shuffle.
The Samsung Q2, on the other hand, may have a tougher time keeping up with Apple. Prices are fine at $99 and $129, but the respective 8 GB and 16 GB models may not be enough storage for watching video on the Q2's 2.4-inch QVGA screen. Still, audiophiles could find comfort in the 3D spacializer, custom EQ, audio upscaling, DNSe 3.0 and -- best of all -- .FLAC support. The estimated 346970-001 50 hours of battery life for audio is nice, too.

The Q2 supports WMV and MPEG4 video, and both players support MP3, WMA and Ogg.

CNet reports that the real potential showstopper, Samsung's P3 touch screen portable media player, is set for a May release, with pricing and capacity confirmed at 8 GB for $149.99, 16 GB for $199.99 and 32 GB for $299.99
A family in Ohio has sued Omnibook XE3 Apple, accusing the company of negligently building a second-generation iPod Touch MP3 player that ultimately exploded in their 15-year-old son's pocket while he was at school.
In the 14-page suit filed in the Southern District of Ohio Court, Lynette Antrobus purchased a 16GB iPod Touch late last year, and her son had it just two weeks before it exploded, set his pants on fire, and caused second degree burns when it melted through to his leg. The teenager "heard a loud pop and immediately felt a burning sensation in his leg," the complaint against Apple F2024A reads.
Furthermore, the boy "realized his Apple iTouch (sic) had exploded and caught on fire in his pocket. ....Plaintiff A. V. immediately ran to the bathroom and took off his burning pants with the assistance of a friend. The Apple iTouch had burned through Plaintiff A. V.'s pants pocket and melted through his Nylon/Spandex underwear, burning his leg," according to the court filing.
The family is now seeking more than 225,000 in compensatory and punitive damages in the case, as he's suffering from "physical and mental conditions which will cause him to suffer pain, mental distress, emotional distress, and otherwise for the rest of his life."

Even though hearing news about exploding devices seem to happen more often than we'd like, most of the time it's caused by cheap, poorly made batteries the user chooses. But the battery in the iPod Touch cannot be replaced by user -- and must be sent to Apple -- so this case has an added twist that will need to be F2024B considered during the legal proceedings
