My brother got a detention from Myspace! He comes home one day form school and tells me that his principal gave him a detention from what he said on Myspace. This just blew my mind. How can a school give a student a detention from something that he/she did on the internet at there own house. The internet is a vast place with many ways to show how one feels. Blogging is just that, he got in trouble for blogging! He said how the school was wrong in telling a student that wearing a shirt with the words "Bud Light" on it was wrong, but there are other kids with shirts of half-naked girls, beer cans, and drugs on their shirts and not a word is said. This provocked him to write a short segment on Myspace about it. He used a few choice words and bashed the teachers a bit, and I would asume that that's why they gave him a detention.

Thats part of the reason I dislike MySpace. Drama that occurs on a computer screen, while you sit at your liesure in your own home, your safezone, promotes actual real-world drama.

    It sickens me.
