Secret: Very true, and that is the next thing the author talks about. Some of the signs can be attributed to so many other things in life that have nothing to do with a person feeling suicidal.
Huh, that is interesting to find out, but my thoughts on this are, all right, fine, but do they make these signs obvious enough or not, and if they've chosen not to make them obvious enough was a conscious or subconscious choice? I wonder what context this statement was written in. I mean, was it just informative or was it angling somehow at the people who "could have" saved the suicidal person but didn't. I mean, that sort of a statement could become responsible, depending on who's read it, for many people feeling guilty for NOT seeing the signs even though there was no way for them to know what to look for. Hmmm, definitely gives me something to think about.
Hege, I'll have to find the passage again, but I will post the paragraph so you can read it in the context it was written in. The author writes in Q&A format, and all his answers are purely informative.
People cannot be expected to catch everyone when they fall.
TBS, I'll have to keep an eye out for that. You are right though, and that's right on with what I was saying, you can't expect to catch everyone when they fall.
