So I just now got back from seeing the Jane's Addiction / Nine Inch Nails show and it was a night to remember. We had lawn tickets because it was an outdoor venue. I remembered coming to the venue 10 years ago and so much had changed. I couldn't help but feel a little old. There was rain and I was proud to stand in it and feel it wash over me as Nine Inch Nails played in a stormy overcast sky. The atmosphere was perfect for NIN. It was an amazing show but was also a sad one. Trent Reznor seems to think this will be his last tour. And with it a small piece of my childhood dies. I grew up with the band and went to a ton of shows when I was a teenager. I have a lot of special memories but was glad I added one last one. Jane's Addiction was every bit as amazing as I thought they'd be and all in all it was like a dream come true. It's shows like this that make me feel alive and I think I'm going to start going to concerts again. It's almost like magic when you get to see your favorite bands and everything falls into place...
