So I just now got back from seeing the Jane's Addiction / Nine Inch Nails show and it was a night to remember. We had lawn tickets because it was an outdoor venue. I remembered coming to the venue 10 years ago and so much had changed. I couldn't help but feel a little old. There was rain and I was proud to stand in it and feel it wash over me as Nine Inch Nails played in a stormy overcast sky. The atmosphere was perfect for NIN. It was an amazing show but was also a sad one. Trent Reznor seems to think this will be his last tour. And with it a small piece of my childhood dies. I grew up with the band and went to a ton of shows when I was a teenager. I have a lot of special memories but was glad I added one last one. Jane's Addiction was every bit as amazing as I thought they'd be and all in all it was like a dream come true. It's shows like this that make me feel alive and I think I'm going to start going to concerts again. It's almost like magic when you get to see your favorite bands and everything falls into place...

That sounds awesome Slick!  I'm glad you're reclaiming this part of your life and yes, I think you should go to more concerts too!

Wow, that must have been an amazing concert.  Makes me think back to the concert that never was, as I call it, lol.  I had a chance to go to the Metallica/Godsmack concert, and without all the gory details, I missed my chance.  I've regretted it ever since, considering that team up will never happen again.  Glad you've had so many fond memories of them and their concerts!

You just can't beat a live show especially when it's outdoors too!  The last big outdoor concert I went to was 1993 - Guns 'n' Roses with The Cult and - yeah - it rained too lol!  I was on the shoulders of some guy whom I don't even recall then, next thing I know, we're both falling in slow motion and I landed on my back in 4 inches of mud ha ha!  Once I got up i kept swinging round and the mud was flying off the leather tassles that were down the arms of my leather jacket and splattering everyone around me lol.  Boy - that was fun!

Keep going to them Nick - i think they keep ya young :-)

Yeah Lucy I wish I could tell you with a hot sexy lady but I went with my brother and a bunch of people from work. We had a nice time and my boss even told me I'm doing a good job. It was crazy cause my boss never ever compliments me. I think he was drunk. LoL! Wow pusscat GnR and the Cult would have been an awesome show. I laughed at the part where you fall in the mud and get everyone around you muddy. Yeah Hegemone, I've miss concerts too in the past and really regretted not going. Uni I am going to more concerts. I already got tickets for Slayer and Marilyn Manson. It's gonna be a crazy one for sure. I've been playing more guitar lately and I'm hoping to start doing it everyday again. Times are still tough but I'm trying to make the most out of it.

Ok - that's it - Lucy, you hold down his arms, Hege and uni take a leg each, I'm going in for the Marilyn Manson tickets ;-)

Axle Rose was such a star - The Cult's sound equipment failed from the start and within seconds, Axle had his roadies working with Ian Astbury's roadies and they cleared the equipment off stage and put all the G 'n' R equipment on for them.  Nice call.
