Sugar in some form can be found on almost every aisle of your supermarket, even in produce. In fact, the average person in North America eats 150 pounds of sugar every year. What do you think about that?
I think it's an addiction. I've had to cut back drastically on my sugar intake, and it's extremely difficult. What really bothers me is that when a product is labeled sugar free, it often has the same amount of carbs. Sugar free is not the same as carb free. I think it's very misleading. Gotta read the labels.
I think that's entirely too much sugar if it's not the right kind. There are healthy sugars and healthy amounts that we need, but those are more naturally ocurring. It's about the specifics, not what we THINK, ya know?
Seeing how anything that isn't WATER or a spice has sugar in it I think this tirade isn't very well thought out. I mean apples and oranges aren't sugar free. Milk products might be but they aren't fat free.
