It was an absolutely beautiful day in the Carribbean.
The sun was intense, the breeze was warm and
comforting, and the sky mirrored the colour of the
ocean. It was like happiness was never ending.
I stepped ever so slowly into the magnificant pool
and I slowly submerged my body as the water
was so inviting. I could feel beads of water on my
face and the rays of the sun already evaporating
the moisture on my skin. I giggled to myself as I
couldn't believe the reality of this paradise. I
could feel incredible relaxation taking control
of my limbs and mind. I knelt in the water and
my eyes absorbed all of the visual beauty it
could take in. The other bathers in the pool -
some couples in love, some children playing
with their parents, even elderly folks taking in
the swim class and enjoying the life of retirement.
The bar umbrelled by the fern hut was most
unique. It was stocked with all of the
best beverages and stools positioned under water
around the cascading bar counter top. I drifted
over and floated on the seat momentarily as I
gazed over the selection. The very busy local
resident bartender was at the other end of the
acquatic wonderland. He was a solid man, with
no much height but he certainly looked like a
pleasant and socialable match for the job.
He looked at me and waved his hand infront of
me to give me a que to order. Our eyes
connected. My voice did not work. There was
this infactuated silence. I smiled first and
completely ordered something different that
what I had previously planned. He returned
this enormous smile back to me and his magical
eyes continued to have me under his spell. All
I could think of was that they reminded me of
a panther. Those eyes were powerful and
alluring. Finally, I just pointed to some flavoured
ice drink rotating around in a glass container as
it came to me we had a language barrier. BUT
he definitely knew what I wanted. Would I be
rewarded to have him select me as his next prey?
I was sure there would be no body language
barrier. I was suddenly feeling the need to get
a little intoxicated.
