   I think family exhibitionism is even more powerful, because sexual denial and sexual repression is so much a part of our cultural family practices.  We expend so much time and energy pretending that sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, are NOT sexual beings.  Likewise we pretend that mothers and fathers are only sexual w/each other;  that mothers and fathers are only sexual behind closed doors (hidden away).   This creates enormous sexual tension.  Young male teens are in a state of constant INTERNAL sexual stimulation.  Hormones will produce erections in a church confessional!!!  Trust me, environment has little to do w/it!  Considering the amount of energy that a young person has to expend trying to stifle his own bodily physiology, it's no wonder teens act crazy. . .   Being able to drop the facade even briefly, has a powerful effect.   I suppose that the best way is to establish times, places, and situations where the family is free to act in a sexual manner. . . . .and the rest of the time the family will act in the traditional sexual-denial mode.   Anything that transpires w/in the family, in no way is a substitute for normal social-sexual  interactions w/ones normal peer group.
