i had gone to the us open with my girlfriend, two college buddies of mine who had been a couple forever, and two friends of theirs. at some point, my girlfriend and i had gotten into a fight about how much she really didn't want to be there - that is after i had asked her two weeks before if she wanted to go and she said yes. she had complained left and right about things which had honestly started to piss me off to no end, especially since she's gone to other sporting events with me. and if you've been to any sporting event or concert it's almost always the same thing: long lines to get in and out, lines to the bathroom, lines to expensive concessions, security checks. but as usual we had found a way to make up and all was right in the world. : )
