  I seriously want to know why you posted this labyrinth. I'm not saying it is a bad idea, but it prompted me to write this comment.
  
  I will agree with you. Each of these writers have had entertaining posts. But are they really SoulCast's top 25?
  
  This begs the question, what makes them a top poster? Have they posted more than others? Is it because their posts are viewed the most? Is this your list, or SoulCast's?
  
  I'm not posting this because I'm not on the list. I tend to write mostly poetry, and alot of people don't care for it, but I still write it. I know that if I wanted to be considered a top poster, I would post things similar to these writers ( or so one would think ).
  
  I'm just not a fan of popularity contests. They are all based on who knows who and who likes who and who doesn't like who. As far as I'm concerned, we are all equal. Our writing styles may differ, as well as our subjects upon which we write, but what one may consider bad writing, someone else may consider to be amazing.
  
  I see posts like this to have the scant ability to actually make people who aren't on this list, feel like crap. And people avoid things that make them feel like crap. Hence, people may avoid posting on SoulCast, because they equate not being on this list to not being welcome here.
  
  Again, I'm not posting this because I'm not on this list, and I realize it is hard to convince someone of that. I agree, these writers are some of the well-known ones. But there are others on SoulCast who are equally as entertaining, who you would never know about, because they aren't publicized.
  
  Please don't take this as an attack on you and your writing. Its more of a "why I wouldn't post things like this" type of post, which I wouldn't mind discussing if you care to.

  Hey you got the order wrong. Anyway, Danj, SoulCast's
  most popular list is just the people who have the most
  people subscribed to them and possibly have subscribed
  to the most people. I subscribe to almost everyone and
  consequently a lot of people have subscribed to me. It
  is just simple math, not skill. I admittedly write a bunch
  of crap that people look at and then they avoid the
  posts I think are the best. Go figure.

  Yes, but until recently I had only subscribed to 7 people
  and I reached number 5 on the SoulCast list, without
  really "trying."
  
  There's no one formula, but the pop bloggers seem to
  either be good craftsmen or clever ideasmiths, and it's
  mostly a combo of views, comments and subscribers
  that magically alagorithm one into the spotlight -
  for what it's worth.
  
  By the way, the pressure at the top is formidable.
  Silverwhisper is actually a committee in Rhode Island
  at a public library in Providence.

  ALIEN and sus - the top 25 posted above was simply lifted from the the list of SoulCast. I did not add or change anything. Although the ranking changes every now and then, at the time I copied the list, the ranking is what you see above.
  
  TheNakedProfessor: you are a talented writer. People view your posts because of that. This is why you're on top, I think.
