Dear WithoutShade,
I've been meaning to speak to you sooner, but things have come up. It seems to me that you are slowly losing your mind and are not willing to admit to it. I don't mean to say that your are going crazy, but you seem to push you friends away from you. You seem to push your work away, your health away, your life away. Why? I realize that you do not have the same energy or motivation that you once had. Some of your closer friends have gone away, and you are not able to do as much as you use to do. I liked they way you used to be. When you would be spontaneous and just do things with out asking questions about what could go wrong. It was great when you did things just because you could. Although it was a bit immature, it left both of us in a much better mood.
Hope and faith are very hard things to hold on to, but they are the tools that will spring life forward. You cannot fix your life from just your hands alone. Cast away some of that pride in exchange for helping hands and you will be amply rewarded. You have a lot to offer this world; show what you can do and share it with as many people as you can. It doesn't matter if it is not the best of what you could do. It matters more that the people around you will encourage you to get better. Why waste your time mulling over what you could have done, when you could be improving and sharing what you can do?
I for one believe that you can accomplish more in this life than just what you set out for. Whatever you do, you will spread that to others. Do not worry about the past and head down a path of reconciliation if it will only bring more tears. Open your eyes and face the future. Open your heart and whatever may come will come. If it is pain, let it toughen you up. If it is joy, let it take away your pain.
Remember: There are only 2 things to worry about. Either you are well or you are sick. If you are well there is nothing to worry about. But if you are sick there are only 2 things to worry about. Either you will get well or you will die. If you get well there is nothing to worry about. If you die there are only 2 things to worry about. Either you will go to heaven or you will go to hell. If you go to heaven there is nothing to worry about. But if you go to hell you'll be so damned busy shaking hands with friends you won't have any time to worry.
Why worry?
Your youth & your future,
- OpenSunshine
