Memorial Day.
A day to remember.
I know it is technically a day to remember those who've died. But. But, I don't know anyone personally who has died in service.
What I do know are those that have served and I say "thank you"! My dad served in the Airforce. My oldest brother, Van, served and is still serving his country. My husband served too. Even my employer served a long time ago. I smile thinking about him because he told me he lied about his age to join the Navy. That was some years back.
I'm not one to protest things. I'm not very vocal on anything. I believe what I believe and feel everyone else is welcomed to their opinion too. What I do know and believe is we are supposed to support those who protect us.
The last war we were in, my brother was on the front lines in a tank. A 'Bradley' I think. I could be wrong but that sounds right. We were terrified for him. I couldn't imagine losing my big brother. Wow. What if we had? What a difference each Memorial Day would be. Just thinking that, makes me even more grateful for those who fight, live or die, to keep us safe.
Thank you.
Thank you Dad.
Thank you Mr. C.
Thank you Van.
Thank you Sweety.
Thank you, all armed forces.
Thank you.
