  Update - Something is happening.
  Last weekend it was my sons 21st Birthday and I had planned a big party with all the trimmings. I held the party at my home and to cut a long story short should have paid just on $3,000 for the event which did not include the purchase of his present. At the begining of the week the phone started ringing with offers from people to do all sorts of things to contribute to the evening. All the items that had been ordered for hire were provided by several different people and the orders for hireage had to be cancelled. Then further phone calls came in from people who asked what they could bring (more offers) food , trailors, marque, tables and chairs, table clothes, all that was necessary for a big event. Behind it all were my very good friends that have been around for many years supporting me in bringing up my children on my own. Not only had they helped me prepare and serve the food but they had also helped set up and decorate the venue which was so elaborately done that it created an atmosphere of style and intimacy. The night was a total success, even the entertainment was provided by a friend who is a musican and it was all free of charge. At the end of the weekend when I took a look at what I had spent, I had forked out a mere $300.00. I still can't believe it. My son was absolutely blown away and so too am I. I truely am rich and it really is working.
