If I could go back in time I would go back and warn JFK not to get on the car that day in Texas.

I'd like to have a conversation with Amelia Earhart...find out what happened that day she dropped off the radar. I would like warn someone about 9-11 before the terrorist got on the plane.

So many events, so many people to talk to I just can't pick.

johannes gutenberg--if i could get a good translator. or possibly martin luther and ask him not to become such a virulent anti-semite towards the end of his life.

that's just off the top of my head, though.

Go back to 1941 and warn the British soldiers in Singapore that the Japanese will attack from the north (through Malaya) and not from the South. A fatal mistake they made by erecting cannons and forts facing the south....but not towards the north.

As a result, the British lost the battle and the civilians in Singapore and Malaya were brutallised and tortured inhumanely by the Japanese soldiers back then.

The late pope John Paul II!!! I so wanted to see him and ask a hell lot of questions. Too bad I never had the chance to. Besides, who am I to be able to meet him in person and have a chat? So, who: Pope John Paul II. What: To ask questions and listen to his wisdom. When: when he was alive and healthy.

    Oh, Mother Teresa too!! cheers!

Mahatma Gandhi, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert F. Kennedy, Pope Joan, Joan of Arc, Elizabeth I of England, William Shakespeare, Toulouse-Lautrec, Mary Cassatt, George Fox and Margaret Fell Fox (founders of the Religious Society of Friends) and Jesus -- not necessarily in that order.

    Are you kidding?

I would go back and spend a day with my long passed
family. Probably sometime around 1963-67. It would
also be great to see my golden retriever Goldie again.

That would also give me a chance to meet myself,
and I could...well, we can't divulge too much
    personal info, now, can we?

Socrates, alexander the great, Marcus Auralies (want to talk him about his view of life and duty)...

everybody else is just history.. dust in the mountain of time..

Would like to meet a lot of people... but warn them??

Maybe the little brother of my friend that drowned in a lake, would stop him going that way and send him home... probably many thing would chage for the better for that friend of mine

    This is easy.

If I could go back in time, it would be sometime around 1965, so I could spend more time with my dad. He died in 1968, when I was 8. I don't have many memories, but the few I have are deeply special to me.

So if i get to rewind to the past, It'll definitely be spending my time with my family and love ones, just the same moments happening the way we've shared. And yeah I wished I could've shown my love for them more..Somehow this reminds me of that movie "Click". Awesome good film. :)

I'd like to meet Pope John Paul II, John F. Kennedy, and Jose Rizal.

It would also be great to personally listen to the lectures of the greatest teacher -- Jesus.

when: when mom was 7mths pregnant with me

I know I have a lot of bad experiences to share. It has made me appreciate life and what it has to offer.

Wow those are some really good answers...made me think of another event I'd like to revisit.

I'd like to go back and warn the captain of the titanic that sure enough the unsinkable ship is sinkable and that if he isn't careful he will hit an iceberg and cause worldwide news.

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago. I was reading about the conditions under which Ian Gillan left Deep Purple in 1973. Things were pretty sad and he actually gave up singing for two years. In a recent interview with him he said things are going well now (in Deep Purple). I wanted to go back to 1973 when he had just quit the band (because of relationship troubles with Ritchie Blackmore) and tell him that someday he would be back fronting DP and that Ritchie wouldn't be there and he would be really enjoying himself.

It might seem lame compared to meeting Jesus or the Pope but I felt bad for Ian and I think he seems like a cool guy. I wanted to cheer him up like Sharon did for Ozzy when Black Sabbath ditched him.

I would go back to the last day of school,my 7th grade year and talked to a very close friend girl.I would have hugged her tight, told her I love her,and our friendship was very dear to me.See,my friend passed away that summer, while school was out.She had diabetes and her kidneys shut down. Her cousin told me when school started back, because I was looking for her desprately.I was so sad.The church she attended, named a family center after her.It sadens me that my friend will never experience life. She would have been very sucsessful. She never failed at anything she did.

This one is so easy...I'd go back to 1985. All of my grandparents and both of my parents were alive.

    I really miss them.

in my life, i want to go back to high school and correct
the silly mistakes i did. i feel so awkward especially
with the people that i didn't treat well before...i feel
    such a bad person...

i also want to go back to the time when i first met
and fell in love with my boyfriend. if i could, i would
like to correct the mistakes that we made along the
    way...

I would go back to when this country was founded and talk to the founding fathers of this nation and show them what has taken place and ask them is this what you had in mind.

if i could go back in time i would go back to a time when my dad was still alive, he passed away 17 years ago and i was very close to him and i still think about him and miss him every day.
i would go back in time so i could tell him how much i love him and how much he means to me, because i never got to say goodbye before he passed.
so if there is someone in your life who you love tell them, tell them today, dont wait because they could be gone tomorrow.
dont let them slip away not knowing how you feel.

Just for fun, I'd magically appear on Columbus' voyage
and misdirect him with a display of "magic" technology
so that he actually ended up in India. Then I'd hop
over the the future North America (or whatever it would
come to be called without the interference of an Italian
cartographer named Amerigo Vespusi) and give the
natives some ass-kicking immunity build-up drugs
hidden inside chocolate while arming them with surplus
    machine guns and ammo.

The scene would unfold a bit differently once the first
    Euros showed up...
  • hotaka said on Sep 08, 2006....
TNP - That would make an excellent movie, especially the part when the Europeans come knocking.
