He's losing himself. He's becoming a victim and may not even know it.
There go the principles for the practicalities. Now HE'S the emperor and the clothes are beginning to show.
I can see it happening. How can it not?
How long does it take you to adapt to a new routine? A new situation? And once you do, doesn't it take over and replace your previous mindset?
Imagine the overwhelming adaptation to the presidency. And you can imagine what's happening. Obama no longer stands as strongly as before. Ah, maybe Bush was right about this, maybe Cheney was right about that after all.
Is the presidency un-Obamacizing Obama?
And we forgive him for it. Just as we forgave Reagan for anything. Why is it that we'll forgive some of them, no matter what corruption of principle they enable?
I didn't think I'd be feeling it THIS soon. But it's already underway.
