(Inspired by queenie's dream post)
Imagine for a moment a great hall, with a beautifully polished floor, an entire wall of windows, and two curved staircases leading down to the main part of the floor. An orchestra plays (or a DJ, if you're more inclined that way -- it is your imagination, after all!) and people are beginning to pair off for dancing and fun.
A set of French doors opens onto a second-floor stone balcony overlooking a gorgeous garden with a simple, graceful fountain as its centerpiece. The scent of jasmine wafts through the evening air, which is warm but not unpleasantly so.
Where are you in this picture? Who are you with? How have you dressed for this magical event, SoulCast's very own summer ball?
As for myself, I am in a simple but striking deep green ballgown with flowing sleeves. Silver jewelry, including rings, a pendant with a rose engraved on it, and a delicate circlet woven through my red hair, which spills in rich waves over my shoulders (hey, we can pretend it's behaving in my imagination!).
I stand at the top of one staircase, to the side, my right hand on the rail...watching the dancers, scanning the crowd...

Never having been to a ball I'm gonna wing it and wear a saphire blue satin long gown that is off the shoulder and has that 1930s hollywood glamour thing going on. Hair up, make up on for a change and wearing silver sandals. I'm sitting on a bench on the balcony, deep in conversation with Lu, Silverwhisper, MissMimi and Beyondtheveil. -

Well, I think I would probably be at the bottom of the stairs, perhaps about ten feet off to the right, watching people enter and seeing who I could be brave enough to approach while most likely sipping a drink, wondering why I was starting to feel a little funny (Fraggles! You sneak, spiking the punch!). I'd be quiet and watchful in general until approached (or until buzzed), because I'd more than likely be fairly shy at first. As far as what I would be wearing, a strapless satin a-line gown in sapphire blue, with a 1 carat teardrop diamond pendant necklace and matching earrings. My make up would be simple and natural and my hair would be in some sort of up "do" with absolutely NO frizz! Hey, it's my imagination! I think it'd be the beginning of a pretty good night, I have to say. -

Freshly recovered from my fraggle-inspired night of alcoholic delusions - wOw. I like being the only guy at the ball. The only balls at the ball, so to speak. Mr. platOOn is wearing a unitard, dark but with gleams of blue and purple as the light hits it, a black headband, Captain Hook boots, a huge smelly cigar clenched in my teeth framed by a stylishly carved jaw of day-old stubble. There's a slight scent of a cheap, manly after-shave mixing with the tobacco. My utility belt has mysterious packets and capsules and starts every conversation. My tight buns do not go unnoticed. The urge to squeeze them is nearly irresistable. And I haven't even danced yet.

Me?..I am wearing my (real) red one shoulder strap dress that is short over the knees and looks like is pinched on one side......silver high heels sandals.....lots of silver bangles to my left arm and silver rings......no earrings because my hair are loosely tousled and long to half of my back.
My makeup is simple....red lips and lots of mascara. I am wearing Givenchy Eau du Perfume.....don't i smell good tonight?
Now......pass me a Gin Tonic, dahling......merci...;-p.

Well since alot of my favorites are here I'd be in grossed in discussion with most of the people here. I'd imagine myself with ringlets in my short asymetrical haircut. The most beautifully beaded corset top that flowed to a ballgown bottom.The color would be a cream color with the most strappy and ornate open toe sandal(I have a french manicure on my toes and my hands.)A silk shawl and I'd be waiting to dance with every man of Soulcast. But I'dx especially be waiting for Mr.Box and Burned out b/c I think they have the potential to be party animals and have some real fun and then Alien b/c he's so opionated I'd like to personally help him cut loose.tehheh heh heh. -

No make up needed other than shimmery pink lip gloss. White stilettos on my feet.. and I'm wearing a pair of tear drop shaped diamond earings and a delicate diamond bracelet on my left wrist. I'm standing in the balcony looking down at the beautiful garden below.. wondering if I should go inside and dance a little.
