I want a child and hubby wants a child. We'll both be 40 in 2 years. We've been together for about half our lives..since the age of 18..married for 9 years this november. We have never, ever used any form of birth control and still no bio children. I have had 3 miscarriages all during the first trimester. Now we really want a child but there's just a little problem: all the meds hubby takes for pain. Ambien, Soma, Voltaren (sic), zolaft, vicoden..just to name a few..So with that said..will our firstborn (IF we ever get pregnant)
1. Have 2 heads
2. 13 toes and 15 fingers
3. Have 2 heads, 13 toes and 15 fingers
4 or have  2 heads, 13 toes, 15 fingers and one head have a cyclops and the other have a third eye. LOL.
Seriously though. We were tested about 5 years ago and his sperm are just like him..they are lazy and don't ask for directions LOL. As for me my uterus is clumsy and doesn't like holding on to things LOl. I don't make enough progesterone (think that's what it is) to hold the egg. I have medical insurance throuh my work now..but of course, it doesn't cover fertility treatments.

my sister had her first baby at 39.  her 2nd at 41.

if i were you, my biggest concern would be getting pregnant.
you should seriously visit your doctor and have a conversation about it.

We are in the process of getting a doc appointment. All my relatives had their first child young. although, my sister and I are 9 years apart and my aunt S's children are also 9 years apart. I just don't want any dayglo children LOL. Even if I do,  I'm sure I will love em as much. I'll just use them as night lights. LOL. I'm kidding on that part.

Wow, that definitely sounds like a conundrum you're in.  If it's something you both really want, I wish you the best of luck in finding a way to make it happen.  Also ... doesn't it just figure that you finally get the good insurance but they won't cover the one thing you need?  Lol.
