To me, Mother's Day is all about my children.

I never wanted kids. Never ever saw myself doing the mommy thing. Two of my children (first and last!) were completely unplanned.

Sometimes life knows better than I do. I bow to these little people who show me so much, and to the powers that be who saw fit to allow me these chances to do something right, to give the world so much more than the sum of all the good I could ever manage. To love and be loved this way.

My rugrats:

For little one and mini-Ferny, my pint-sized princesses:

And for my sweet (troublemaking!) linebacker, because he absolutely adores this song and it is special to us, just him and me:

I am so lucky. :)

Beautiful little lesson teachers TIO.  Yes, the little ones can teach you things about yourself that only your own children can.
  • the_infernal_optimist said on May 10, 2009....
beyond: Thank you. :) Some days I do better by them than others, I think.

ginger: Thanks -- I think so too, but I'm biased. ;-)

paper: You can call me anything you want. ;-)

trav: Linebacker actually has brown eyes, but you can't really tell from the pic. It is very wild that they all have blonde hair (well, mini-Ferny seems to, but time will tell!) and two are blue-eyed, especially since neither I nor my husband have either of those traits.

queenie: They really do! I'm lucky in a lot of ways.

u-i: I kinda thought you might understand. :)

Sorry I'm a little late in coming to comment...  I saw this last night, but I was rather busy at work...

    Anyways...

I just realized that they're all wearing the same colour!  :)

It's nice that you keep them all matched up and colour-coordinated...  But isn't that what moms do?

They're precious.  U dun reel gud lady.  :D
