  Corsets/Bustiers are hard to find items.
  
  I've purchased these from online stores and have had success in the fit.
  
  I was surprised how difficult it is to find garters these days.
  Even victoria's secret doesn't sell them (at the mall).
  
  My favorite linguerie items are babydolls.
  I am particularly fond of ones with lace or mesh.

  Thongs. I can't live without them. I wear them every day. I hate when lines shows underneath jeans of thigth pants. I love the microfiber ones because slightly stretchy. And when i am in the mood for some serious damage nothing beats a tiny thong with laces, or see-through, or tiny accessories like butterflies, bows, teardrops, even feathers. Their colors depends by the mood...and naturally, the bras have to go with their color too.
  I used to wear high stockings too but now i am more on the less is better....

  ed I think there is a huge difference between wearing something so confining every day because it's the 'required' style of the day versus having the free will to be comfortable when you choose, wear nothing if you choose, or wear a corset.
  
  I wasn't around at the time, but my guess is that the corset and it's accompanying undergarments were washed away in the politics of the roaring 20s.
  
  Why a resurgence? Good question. I'm sure part of it is 'everything old is new again' as you suggested. Men often think it's sexy so it's a good choice if you're trying to please. With a good fit they're flattering to a woman's figure. And if you're into lingerie at all there are only so many blue, black, nude, green etc. bras that a woman needs!

  When I say babydolls, I am not referring to the kind that we are used to seeing very young women/girls wearing, that look more like pajamas, but the more modern, and let's say more sexy-looking ones.
  
  I bought a pink satin one with matching thong for my sweetheart that she looks especially hot in. It has a long slit in the front that goes all the way to the bottom, where it remains open.

  sw: i was actually shopping for a garter this summer. i thought this would be a fairly simple item to purchase, but i swear there was not a single shop that carried them at the mall here. I was in VS...nada. I was in Macy's, L&T, Nordstrom's....nada.
  
  I ended up purchasing online.
  
  i betcha brides buy them at the bridal shops.
  
  i bought a black lace-back corset last year.
  it was purchased for play only. i can't imagine wearing something like that under my clothes in everyday life.
  
  i'm laughing because it took me 20 minutes of struggle to get the thing on and all the little eye hooks done and then laced....and about 30 seconds for it to come off!

  Corsets are hot again because women think we all will look like Gisele Bundchen on a catwalk...WRONG!!!
  They are not my favorite, but i can see why they are appealing. They comprime, hide, emphasize and squeeze in the right spots so wearing them is like having a protective blanket ....if you can afford to take them off without having all hanging out...LOL
  Plus we know some men like them...and yes, most likely because they are so old fashion that they are hot stuff again...
  
  My ex once bougth me this laced black cotton thing....It was like a second skin, you know the Catwoman suit? Only not in leather.... From the neck to the ankle... Man, if it was hard to put on.....But it worked really good...after all that hussle it was off in less than a minute.......:->
  
  I do like see women in sexy lingerie though. This another story, i guess..... but baby dolls definetely make me laugh...i can't play with Barbie for so many times.......

  MMMmmm,,, I'm one who like lingerie. Since I'm older my taste follow those lines. I like the "basic" sheer nylon lingerie. A lady in lingerie does something that is difficult to explain. Her looks seem to change in lingerie, her feminine features are highlighted, the atmosphere for pleasure in enhanced for me anyway.

  I have read all the above and find the different answers very intresting.  I have a friend that often wears only a top that is from a set.  It is sheer and very revealing showing her butt very nicely.  I like for her to wear very short skirts with a thin not sheer but see through top and thong panties that are very small.  I also find thigh high stockings with almost anything or almost nothing is very nice.  She has talked about a corsett but not gotten one yet.  She likes very much wearing revealing clothes out that show just a hint of her lingerie such as her blouse barly buttoned and sometimes in right place just a quick flash of her thong it is really great.  I like all your comments about various ideas of sexy lingerie
