Linguistics is one of my many interests. This area of study was suggested to me as a field of study after my undergraduate studies. My undergraduate major was Spanish and my minor was English. I took a course in the English Department that was required of English majors. The title of the course was "The History of the English Language". An example of Beowulf in Old English seemed somewhat familiar to me because it reminded me of Dutch. My native language. I will have more to say on Linguistics and my native language in a later post.
