Have you ever wondered how all the pros make their mils? this is it! Hellhounds in Runescape are an excellent source of profit because they drop bones 100% of the time ! Bones sell on the grand exchange for a whopping 76 gold coins each! That means in around 4 inventories of these you could afford the things you've always wanted! I bought a manta ray with my last inventory of bones and it healed 22 hitpoints. So here is the guide part.
The melee method
armour: full mithril is best as these things can hit pretty hard, risking better armour is not recommended. For your weapon i recommend a steel halberd because they are very cheap and i hit an 11 with one! you'll want to bring good food, i suggest saradomin brews because my friends say they're good food.
The ranger method
armour: i recommend frog leather because it gives excellent ranged bonuses.
weapon: i've found that oak longbows with bronze arrows are the fastest method of killing the hellhounds.
food: it is best to bring manta rays while ranging hellhounds.
The magic method:
This is the easiest method i have found for killing hellhounds. Although i am not high enough mage to cast these spells cast miasmic barrage and ice barrage is the best way to kill hellhounds, you will use very little food.
