A little girl was asked what she would like for her birthday.
She replied, "I want a pony, and a unicorn, and a wand that makes rainbows, and and and..."
Her birthday came and went. The family had a party. She didn't get any of those things, but she was never dissapointed with what she had. A doll that talks when you pull the string, or one that closed her eyes when you laid her down was just as real and magical as the things she had wanted.
A few years later, the little girl had grown to a young lady. When she was asked what she wanted for her birthday she replied, "I want equal pay for the same work, wisdom, power, knowledge and the joys of life."
Her birthday came and went. Her family had another party. She ended up getting some versions of the things that she had wanted, but not entirely. She had to work very hard towards some things, she had to br dilligent.
Few more years passed. She gained much wisdom, permeates power from within. She had experienced the joys (and the accompanying sorrows) of life.
Then her birthday came again.
When she was asked what she wanted for her birthday, she smiled and said, "not a thing".
Buon compleanno amore mio. :)
