Not that I am truly superstitious, but when we transferred to our new office in January, my table directly faces the door of our mini cubicle. I read that this is not very good, but I have no choice because there is not much space left for this big table to move.
So I decided to buy a gemstone to supposedly contradict the negative effects of me facing the door. The gem is a baby pink, pyramid-shaped stone.
It is neatly placed at the center of my white-painted table, and has become a very attractive sight whenever the rays of the sun touches its surface (the window is a different story).
But aside from this, it gem has also become a source of " idle conversations" for people who come and go. Some think it is a paper weight. Others think it is a toy. Others would even ask how much it costs if pawned. lol
What I have noticed is that people just can't talk about it without touching or holding it. Imagine adults playing with it, placing it on their fingers or use it as a "telescope", generating laughter from others who sees this.
Oh well, that is the story of the pink gem and how it creates a ground of unity.
