Things like this don't surprise me at all from an arab state. It was shocking only in that they were punishing a man, but then I read where his crime was against another man, so that's why. They've been doing shit like this and worse to women for centuries. I've heard of them cutting off a man's hand for stealing, but of course he was stealing from another man.

In Iran there is a man who is sentenced to have his eyes gouged out. This causes outrage in America. How could this happen? But we routinely do worse to embryos whom we considered to be disposable. We do things like twist off their legs and arms and then decry Iran for gouging out someone's eyes as punishment for a crime. We denouce Hitler for killing 9 million in his death camps but we have killed 50 million in our death clinics without seeing the similarities. We routinely accept the mother's right to kill her children without any reason other than she chooses to do it, yet rightfully denounce murders, manslaugters, negligent homicide and other forms of killing with serious sentences in prison. In Iran a man is having his eyes gouged out. In America little innocent children, still inside the protective womb of their mothers, are routinely tortured to death with salt solutions injected into their embryonic sac to burn their little skins off. They have tongs thrust upon them to twist off their arms and legs. They are cut apart while still alive and without anesthesia. Let us stop our denunciation of the tactics of others until we, as a nation, stop our slaughter of our own people.

You know what I take that back.  When the prolife crowd does the right thing and starts attacking the biggest killer of embryos first and the secondary problem later I'll support them.  Go after the invitro doctors who routinely create a dozen or more embryos and choose one.  Until EVERY mother who choses invitro is another octomom you are a hypocrit.  So attack the real source and leave the secondary alone for now.

Sean - if there is a heartbeat, brain activity, neural activity and chemical activity resulting in growth, and even a rudimentary awareness of its surroundings (even at just a few months babies jump in reaction to sonograms) - dude that's alive. To claim anything else is neither scientific nor rational.

When the developing baby is "wanted," names are given, presents bought, living arrangements shifted, additional resources procured. Why would anyone do this for a non-person? When the baby is not wanted, it is nothing more than a bundle of cells, completely devoid of any status as a person.

Clearly, whether or not that growing form of life constitutes "personhood" is up to society.CarlDobbs and others have every right to see the world and other people the way they see fit, as you do.

As for this eye-gouging thing, well Ahmedinejad and his religious puppet masters are the folks Obama wants to negotiate with. Good luck to him.

I think it's a mistake not to recognize how close ANY civilization is to treating people this way. We can't just dismiss people as barbarians: that suggests there's nothing to be done about the problem.

Consider that the US and some other countries still use the death penalty as a deterrent and punishment. It's supposedly more humane (and reserved for extreme cases), but isn't it still barbaric in a way?

And as with the case being discussed, how can anyone really truly prove guilt or innocence to this level certainty? Even the best DNA evidence could be subject to tampering if the right people had the motivation to alter the results of a trial. (How hard is it to pay off unscrupulous lab-workers or people involved in the justice system? Not easy, I'm sure, but not impossible either.)

This is pretty extreme and seems almost too much so to believe.  However if it is true then it sure is a pity that the USA is now in such a lousy position to object to such barbaric treatment since it has been torturing people in all kinds of ways for the last eight years.

As with nuclear technology, America is the only nation to have unleashed atomic bombs on humanity - twice - and is in a terrible position to preach to others who have never done anything like it.  This is a great pity but there is little we can do.  If another country or indeed the whole world demanded that the USA stopped executing prisoners what would happen?  I dare say the USA would tell everyone to mind their own business.

I suggest we all chill out and let those bastards sort out their own shit.  Worse things than that go on all over the world all the time and we do nothing.  This is pure sensationalism.   We should strive to be a bit more consistent and also to set a good example.

In any case, I am not 100% convinced that this is even real.

  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 20, 2009....

Oh please.  America dropped the bomb, ended the war and likely saved millions of japanesse lives in the process.  They are horrible.

It's entirely different from a nation developing it to drop outside of wartime on a basically nonhostile neighbor.

  • PieterOpie said on Apr 20, 2009....
Guilt screams the loudest.  How many nuclear bombs have been built, refined, tested, ungraded, redesigned and developed since then - DURING PEACE TIME?

    Answer:   ALL OF THEM.

Iran is nowhere near building a bomb.

BTW,  Israel is not what I would call a non-hostile neighbour.  For one thing it has one of the most powerful military machines on earth.  It could be seen to be extremely provocative and its history is not the best.  Its army has a poor record in its methods.  They remind me a little of Nazis at times - which is rather ironic don't you think?    The neighbours never agreed to have them put there in the first place.  The west forced Israel on them.  Palestine has been reduced to a small fraction of its former size.  Its all very very unfair......

But back to crime and punishment.....   Why does America put so many minors on trial as adults?  How is that possible?   If the crime is bad enough does that automatically raise the age of the suspect?  How can you convict a minor and condemn them to life imprisonment?  Does that not violate basic human rights?

Why is America the ONLY developed nation that still kills prisoners?  Why does America (supposedly such a free and happy democracy) have more people in prison than any other nation (per capita)?  WHY???

One especially annoying phrase that I have heard regarding crime and punishment is "You do the crime, you do the time!".  Correct me if I am wrong but I'll wager my testicles that irritating rhyme was coined in the land of the punitively obsessed: America.  Americans love to punish.  For the land of the free they have an awful lot of peculiar laws which are applied like bull-clips to the nipples of its population.  Jay-walk?  BANG!!!   Handcuffs behind the back (what?) and perhaps a Taser to the balls and a nightstick to the cranium.   Smoke pot?   Attack dogs, wrestled to the ground, face crushed into the tarmac, various weapons and control methods applied and deployed.  Prisoner totally subdued, arrested and hauled away like the low-life drug smoking criminal they are!!!  YOU WILL OBEY OR SUFFER!!!!   Regardless of the severity of the crime.  My god.... it's just like a dictatorship.

I will stick my neck out and say that the poor slubs who live in the Middle East also know there will be horrible consequences for breaking the law.  Steal and you lose a hand.

We all know to expect shit if we screw up.  Throw acid into the eyes of someone and well......  you know what to expect.  Just like elsewhere.
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 21, 2009....

    1.  Isreal has yet to attack unprovoked.  Hense basically nonhostile.

    2.  No nation in history has been agreed upon peacefully.  So who gives a shit.

    3.  Most nations intel believe Iran is relatively close to the bomb.

    4.  Because most nations are stupid is why the US is the only country still executing prisoners.  Life in prison is WORSE than death.  Either you can release someone into society again or you cannot but if given the choice between a death sentence and life in jail life in jail is cruel an unusual.  Any nation with that as a sentence are simply barbaric with no respect either for human life OR for tax dollars as both are wasted ignorantly.

    5.  Why does the US try people as adults.  Because the US is fucking stupid and filled with stupid people who believe in a stupid invisible fairy that created the universe.  Many of the laws should be lowered (drinking age, age of consenst, possibly voting age) but the bottom line. Americans iz dum.

  • PieterOpie said on Apr 21, 2009....
    1. It's creation and continued existence is a constant provocation creating a ongoing hostility.  It's only rocket science to Zionists... and right wing Americans with ulterior motives and vested interests.  How would you like part of the USA given away by foreigners and resettled with a bunch of people culturally different and very possessive of their new "homeland" which they claim god gave to them thousands of years ago and they push the existing locals off their farms and villages, while arming themselves to the teeth and being financed by a superpower who supported them 100%.   I'd feel invaded and very very very upset!!!!

    2.  a nonsense statement.

    3. I believe in fairies - but they're probably not real.

    4. You say that life in prison is worse therefore murdering them is humane.  That is logical - NOT......   You claim that is less stupid.  I claim you must be kidding.  The most basic law for our species is not to kill another person.  No state has the right to deprive a person of life.  It is draconian and uncivilised.  There is no point debating this.  Murder is wrong.

    5. another nonsense statement.  I do agree with the closing sentence though, except it is spelled with a "b" at the end.

Israel will always be a problem so long as Palestinians are marginalised and deprived of a nation.  I doubt any lasting solution is possible unless there is a fundamental change in the attitude of the citizens on both sides.  Perhaps that may happen in centuries from now.... who knows.   One would think the younger generations would grow weary of this crap.  BAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 21, 2009....

    1.  It was sixty years ago.   They need to get over it.  It's not like Isreal wasn't basically there anyway they choose actual land but seriously.  Up until the day before yesterday (almost literally) every so often everybody would get their armies together and redraw the maps.

    2.  Was mixed with one.

    3.  No I'm not kidding.  Life in prison IS depriving someone of life.  It is Murder.  Just murder by slow slow time but their lives are still over and done with.  It's like saying Bush was better man than OBama because he waterboarded terrorists but Obama just gave the order to shoot them.  Its insane so many people think like you.  Honestly I'd rather set them all free than life in prison.  Life in prison is wrong and amongst the worst things you can do   MUch worse than murder.

How was 5 nonsense at all?

    4.  They won't grow weary of this until Islam evolves which god only knows when it'll happen.

  • PieterOpie said on Apr 21, 2009....
    1.   Was it you who keeps reminding us all that America the Brave saved all our asses in the war or we'd all be speaking German and Japanese and Russian and Australian and fuck knows what??????  That was ehhhhhhhhh....... oh, yes..... about 60 years ago.  What should I do?  Stick to my argument or cease my eternal gratitude to the Land of the Free for saving me, eventhough I had not been born yet?   Which shall it be?

Well, since we are on Israel I shall decide to still find that unacceptable imposition on the Palestinians.... wait for it..... relevant!!!   The Palestinians have long memories going back centuries.  Who are we to say that is silly or trite.  The Jews have memories that go back five or six millennia.  Now that is silly and trite.  They will argue that god's memory is of course eternal.....   Good grief.  It's all too much.

I think that the USA should have offered them Florida.  It is obviously some kind of natural mecca to them.... eh, mecca might be a poor choice of words.  hehe

    2.  Was all mixed up you mean....

    3. It is important to separate a dangerous person from society and also to impose some form of punishment in order to demonstrate that crime brings consequences.  Personally I question the effectiveness of prisons in a society which breeds so much discontent.  Hence overflowing prisons.

I should also mention that my beloved homeland, The Netherlands by contrast to the USA has the least number of people in prison per capita.  The Dutch see little point in jailing people for victimless offences such as using drugs or other vices.  They will lock up dealers but not users.  That is simply cruel and pointless. Prostitution is another example.  America loves "dealing with" people who challenge the laws of the land and there are obviously far too many and the sentences are far too severe.  Rehabilitation seems non-existent and therefore your overcrowded prisons are schools for future hardened criminals who become harder to reform and increasingly resentful towards a punitive society which treats them like animals on the inside.  Then there is the sad reputation of prosecutors and police who are more concerned with securing a conviction than with justice which has led to a disgraceful record of wrongful imprisonments so prevalent in the states.

May I suggest that a jury system in a society which worships punishment as the solution to all things domestic (and foreign) and is heavily peppered with people who have an opinion on everything and believe they are right about everything regardless of whether it is their business or not, is not the ideal way to judge a suspect.  I just would not trust such a jury of idiots.  I would forgo my rights to a jury I imagine.  However then I would have to face a judge who is elected!!!  I have never heard of such a thing - anywhere on earth.  You also elect police chiefs I hear?   So popular people decide one's fate..... GASP!!!   What happened to educated and qualified experts?  I won't even touch on your high courts.... they are pure politics.  This is not justice... it's a lucky dip!!!  A lottery.  And the prize is avoiding a inhumane hell hole in conditions unworthy of livestock.

Perhaps giving people more guns..... an ironic freedom in the midst of so many stupid petty laws and hyper-intolerance is the solution!!!!   DUHHH!!!!!

Before ending..... killing people does not fix the above situation.  Fixing a sick society and addressing reform and rehab. for prisoners might.   Your idea makes sense only because mercy is in this case actually worse.  But it is evil and wrong...   it is Murder!!!

BTW.. waiting for Islam to "evolve" is insulting and hypocritical.  You were lynching blacks only a few years ago at about the same time as you were flying to the moon....   Time in a culture's history cannot be measured or defined.  We can only look at the planet as a whole.  We are both super technical and primitive.   We are the human race = ONE RACE = ONE SPECIES.

When are we going to look past skin colour or cultural backgrounds?   We all live on one planet - not a whole bunch of them.   Human rights are the same everywhere, but they are not respected everywhere.

They are where I come from......   Not boasting, just saying it is possible.
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 22, 2009....

    1.  If America had stayed out of the war it would have dragged on for probably another decade but the Brits are bad ass and eventually would have been okay.  And the French seem quite adept at fighting (once they are flat on their back) but I've watched enough MMA to knwo that lying on your back spinning around is a valid strategy so while I think it's undebatable that the US saved a lot of lives by joining when we did no you don't owe us your eternal gratitude.  I think England is the only country that paid of their loans though.

    2.  LoL.

    3.  Wish I disagreed with the majority of your statement here.  But I don't.  I disagree we should imprison drug dealers.  I think the whole things should be legal.  I'm still all for rehabilitation and minimizing the number of people in jail.  However there are people who cannot ever be released and keeping them alive is cruel.  Call it murder if you want.  It doesn't make it the wrong choice.  Just like you put down a dog.

    4.  Waiting for Islam to evolve is the only choice we have.  Who cares if its insulting?  For the record I wasn't lynching blacks.  I was (or would have been if I were old enough) a lynchee.  That said yeah American had to (and has to in some ways) evolve. However we are definitely in a strong enough moral position to criticize pretty much any Islamic nation for their human rights records.  You want to call America a nation filled with theives and liars?  Fine.  But I think that theives and liars still get to call rapists and murderers scum.  Because they ARE better.

  • PieterOpie said on Apr 22, 2009....
    P.S.

While the traditional forefathers of America and Australia, etc where grubbing around in the mud in Europe, like wild men and women....  Islam was the heigth of culture, science, astronomy, mathematics and medicine and gave rise much of what we claim is our own cultural brilliance.  We use ARABIC numerals.... Not Germanic ones.  The Arabs were living in marble palaces while we were still skinning four legged things to keep warm.

Please.... there is no comparing cultures.  We can only look at seats of civilisation and how they have shifted from place to place and they all began in the primal seat - Iraq.  That is where humanity first became organised to such a degree for it to be classed as "civilised".   However the oldest continuous uniterrupted culture on earth was that of the Australians before those awful uncouth English slobs arrived with their dregs and rejects.  Australia had been there as such for over 40,000 years, some say 60,000 years.  That is about 30,000 years before the middle east.  The Aussies decided that living in perfect harmony with nature was the best way to proceed.  I think they have something in that ideology......  Our sudden progress may be the death of all of us.  That seems pretty dumb (with a "b").
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 22, 2009....

PS.  Who cares?  Seriously.  We use Japanesse computers blah blah blah.  It tommorow the Japanesse started beheading traitors to the state, foot binding them women (China I know) and developing nukes to destroy China because someone started worshiping the Emperor I'd say the same thing about them.

Does it really matter that once upon a time Islam was civilized and Christians were having an Inquisition?  OR does it matter that right now Islam (or an estimated 1-10%) are having a Jihad.  And while there are glimmers of hope (Not that I expect you to but if you dig through my blogs anytime I hear about a glimmer I mention it) but the other 90% are very quiet in their criticism so they basically agree.  Just like there is no major Christian Pro-Choice movement.  There are the "real" Christians who are pro life and then there are the wannabees who won't criticize they merely lack the courage of their convictions.  Otherwise we'd see a counter movement, but we don't.

PPS.  Not really fair for the Aussies.  They were completely isolated until very recently.  All they had to do was out compete tasmanian devils.
  • PieterOpie said on Apr 22, 2009....
I'll get the Tassie devils out of the way first.  They did not compete.  Devils are carion eaters.  They don't hunt for prey really.  No competition.

Now....   The problem with the silent majority in Islam:  The states where these insane punishments are prevalent are the worst of the muslim nations where any desent is not exactly welcomed by the pricks who rule those states.  It is also considered rather bad form to criticise a fellow muslim state.   Democracy in Indonesia is just beginning to work - sort of...  That is the largest muslim nation there is and there people are becoming more confident in speaking up, but democracy is scarce in the other islamic countries and people are not accustomed to protesting against the rulers of those states.  They don't like  it and apply devices to your giblets and really really hurt you.  In America it is only social death that holds people back.  Hardly the same.

Then there is the question of whether we have a right to force our ways onto their customs.  Usurping Saddam was already rather rude.   He was their sovreign leader, nice or not.   Iraq was a sovreign state.  We invaded.   The did nothing.  Yet hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are now dead.    Not a good look.

They had nothing to do with 9/11.   I'm sleepy.... more later.

(I'm still sleeping so I'll be brief)
If Iran did "nuke" the USA it knows there would be no way to stop her from striking back with an overwhelming force, literally wiping Iran off the map.  I am 99% sure they would not want that to happen, not even if every last Iranian was martyred in the process.

They want to be one of the major players in the world.  Because of that they would also think twice before attacking Israel as well.  However, they are sick and tired of being controlled or influenced by external forces.  Nuclear arms gives them a place on the chess=board without having to be a pawn as before.

Right now it is Saudi Arabia who has that privilage and they are too palsy with the west; and let's face it, nobody can trust those sleaze bags.....
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 22, 2009....

Of course Iraq had nothing (or barely anything) to do with 9/11.  We'll never be able to completely prove Saddams innocence but we know he and Bin Laden weren't friends cus Saddam wasn't really religious blah blah blah.

Honestly we should have taken Saddam out years ago the first time he kicked out inspectors .  Those were the terms of us not rolling his ass over in the first Gulf War he violated a treaty, he gets killed.  It's really simple once you stop convoluting it.  When we choose to attack him was like worst timing ever.  Period.  Stupidest thing we could have done at the time we choose to do it.

You have a lot of faith in Iran not to nuke anybody.  Don't know why.  It only takes one guy pushing some buttons and we're talking about a society with people who have been proven to push strap bombs to themselves.  If launching a nuke required a two thirds vote of the Iranians I'd agree with you but it doesn't.  It requires one man anonymously.

  • curmudgeon said on Apr 22, 2009....
Yeah - Mutually Assured Destruction theory is only plausible with rational actors. I'm thinking that a theocratically-appointed holocaust denier who has called for Israel to be wiped off the map - knowing that Israel has nuclear arms yet - is hardly what one could call rational.
  • PieterOpie said on Apr 22, 2009....
Sean said "It only takes one guy pushing some buttons...."

This has little to do with Cruel and Unusual Punishment or eye-gouging, but you got me on that one, and not being so stubborn as to argue just for the sake of it, I agree.

Although that crazy Iranian president (what's-his-name) has limited power you never can tell what is likely to happen in a country that can't decide on what kind of government it prefers.  Mind you I am more than a little worried about Pakistan having the bomb.  They are not the most stable and reliable nation on earth.

Never-the-less I do not think blustering in with an aggressive stance is terribly helpful considering the history we have in the Middle East.  They are right to be pissed off with the West for interfering and I can understand their distrust and dislike for us.  Unless we intend driving ourselves into the ground in a never-ending campaign and going completely broke.... eh, more broke in the process we ought to try a new approach and hope to god they see we intend to mind our own business from now on.......  we do intend that, don't we?    Huh?  We do eh?    Well......????  DO WE???!!!!!

I am quite worried................  you know.....?

We just might  be forced to strike Iran. If Israel hits it first we should thank them.
  • PieterOpie said on Apr 22, 2009....
If they do then that would prove they are an antagonistic and provocative presence where they are and should be forcibly made to disarm - ESPECIALLY since it has nuclear weapons it refuses to acknowledge.  Clearly that proves that Israel is a bad idea now as it was all those years ago.

North Korea is making the same nuclear noises and threatens Japan AND indeed the American mainland if it develops capable missiles and there is no talk of bombing them.  Is that because China takes pity on its stupid cousins and although disapproving of N.Korea's nonsense feels as though it should protect it's commie friend..... possibly out of sheer guilt since they have so blatantly betrayed communism themselves by recreating the old imperial wealth and power based bullshit from whence they emerged.

The Chinese are delightfully pragmatic I find.  Saving face is a funny thing best done with as little fuss as possible;  unless a public specacle is required to facilitate it.   SHHHHH!!!!
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 23, 2009....

Since when did Isreal claim not to have nukes?  Or are they claiming less than they have?

There has been talk about attacking N. Korea, lots of it.  The thing is that I think a lot of people think that China will deal with that problem when the time comes and are probably keeping a better eye on it than we are.

As for Iran again Isreal is gambling with the lives of their citizens that Iran (which really is run more by the Mullahs than the president anyway) won't let that one guy near the nukes.  It's not a gamble a sane man takes.  A sane man attacks first consequences be damned.

Personally at this point we move all the Isrealis into Texas.  Tell the Muslims no nukes.  And WHEN (not if) there are none left around in fifty years we let Texans have all the oil. (then maybe with any lucky without Atheists they degenerate into middle aged Christians eliminate themselves and we can get Jews back out of Texas and return it to Mexico.  Dirty Texans.

  • PieterOpie said on Apr 23, 2009....
Israel has NEVER admitted to having nuclear weapons.  They simply do not discuss it.  A small search on ANY application will yield mountains of evidence that they deny the existence of such hypothetical instruments of.... wait for it -  MASS DESTRUCTION.   Freedom of information within the USA has revealed that the CIA believe Israel has them and satellites indicate the presence of enough plutonium for about 200 such imaginary weapons.  They have.... eh, are believed to have one of the biggest arsenals in the entire world.  IF they had them they could turn the Middle East in cinders and much of the planet as well.  Luckily it is only a rumour.... lucky eh???

So in effect, they do deny it and do NOT admit it.    I personally think they have heaps of them and at least some have "for IRAN" engraved on them.

You say "A sane man attacks first consequences be damned."

If that was really true then there would barely be a human race left at all.   It would mean the USA has missed the boat with Russia, China and  France (we hate them so why not?)  Yet, so far America has has enough sense not to strike out first.    Oh wait.......  I almost forgot - America did lose its senses recently and Bush attacked Iraq.     Luckily there were people to distinguish between Iraq and Iran for Mr Bush or it may have already been a moot point about that Iran thing.

If first strike was such a bright idea then I remind you of the Cuban Missile Crisis and how restraint saved us all from certain death.  We might not be here debating first strike wisdom.

it is not about whether we are inhumane to demons or angels....it is about maintaining our values as leaders in human rights.

many death row inmates have been vindicated by new DNA testing methods - one innocent execution is all that is necessary to determine that we have created laws in the United States that are fascist laws that discriminate against the impoverished!

These rich fucks destroy the lives of hundreds of thousands of people with corruption that causes familicide to go through the roof and we give them the right to hang out in a penthouse while hiding his assets. This is causing a large fraction of the population to lose what was left of the iffy trust that americans have for their government.

Even the illegal war, the illegal wiretapping, the illegal rendition, the illegal torture is being poo poo'ed away by the Obaman Administration....if bush, cheney and rumsfield do not have to pay for breaking our laws and violating our constitution then the rule of law simply does not exist any longer. game over....you pro-war monkies now have to arm yourself to the eye teeth to protect yourselves from your hopeless and jaded neighbors who have nothing left to lose and are sporting the firepower to make bystanders pay for the failure of our government to maintain rule of law.

now they want us to go to war with pakistan, can you spell Caspien Sea Pipeline? Our Oligarchy doesn't give a shit about the suffering of Middle Eastern Women, but they are busy getting you all riled up for their well-being. Not because we are leaders in human rights, but because we are sheople that have grown ever more dumb through denying the truth enmasse

Bitter bitter biiitter... Sounds like somebody is waging war... And it isn't any of us pro-war monkies. I guess given the right circumstances we all eventually become what we hate.
  • PieterOpie said on Apr 23, 2009....
Our biology and our technology have not evolved together.  As animals we lag behind our cultural and technological advancements.  What used to serve us in our primal phase as human beings has become a dangerous predicament.  We have implemented laws to curb our violent behaviour when they clash with our need to help and protect each other but our instincts can still rule our base emotions.  We need to act to overcome that gap in development and realise we need to ban wars altogether.  Conflicts are not the way of the future.  Where there is a problem we should be clever enough to solve it rationally and leave emotions out of the equation.  The reality it that in most violent clashes the majority of suffer occurs in the non-military sector.  That is unacceptable.  It is uncivilised.  We cannot just regard these things as collateral damages.

This is why we should let the Dutch rule the world.  They are excruciatingly sensible and exceedingly pragmatic.  Eventually they find the perfect sensible solution to all kinds of things the rest of the world continues to struggle with.  It just takes some sound thinkng, a lot of fairness and a desire to solve a problem without creating more problems.

JA!!!   Dat is een heel goed idee.
  • javadewd said on Apr 24, 2009....
Yes, to you it may seem like a good idea. Granted I'd prefer the Dutch over the French... Has anyone seen the French national salute {raising both hands in surrender}?
  • PieterOpie said on Apr 24, 2009....
The French??!!!  Don't make moi le laugh!!!   Those people are ridiculous in so many ways, it's folly to even contemplate such silliness.  Nobody likes the French.  They don't even like themselves.  No!!  That would be madness to such a unthinkable level that we may as well go back to eating amphibians and molluscs ourselves in some ironic feast of self abuse to punish ourselves for daring to think it.  I'll thank you never to utter their name or hint at their existence in my presence again.... if you don't mind.  Now I am going to need something for my nausea.

  • andora said on Apr 24, 2009....
    leave the froggies alone!!!!!!! ;]

    me, i be very scottish

my family typically rebel against whatever status quo dares to think it is the pinnacle of civility

when it comes to international conflict emotions run high because of all the bogus ideas being passed around regarding economic models, religious differences, resource territories/claims. The emotions are not the problem, the models for sovereignty are flawed. In a state of balance emotions enrich our existence, in a state of imbalance emotions help us understand there is imbalance. If we make the emotional reaction to imbalance the issue of the conflict then the cause of the imbalance is overlooked in favor of making one of the parties in the conflict "wrong" for having strong emotions.

The violence coming from the Palestinian culture comes from having been disenfranchised. According to the Jews the Palestinians are supposed to continue to accept this process of disenfranchisement, and if they don't, well they get to live in an every shrinking prison very similar to the prison created for Jews in Warsaw Poland during WWII. So, the human condition continually shows the pattern of the perpetrator becoming the victim, becoming the perpetrator, becoming the victim....this is the endless cycle of the linear and relative 3rd dimension. All those who devote themselves to this paradigm will need to become better at laying down and giving up.

with dick cheney as the poster child

    remember the inquisition?

that about sums up this type of thinking

these freaks follow hate mongers who get away with hate speech everyday as they point their fingers out at ancient civilizations

    what?

are they the new heathen that the imperialist capitalists love to wage war upon in the name of civility and "rightness"....

    now

we suck the aftermath of the right

and it is no where close to pretty

I'm buying sprouting seeds for my handcranked wheatgrass juicer

did u know that you can juice almost any grass that is grown without poison

I knew a woman who traveled across the west on her horse with just a hand crank juicer, she juiced the same grass her horse ate in each local region. They both fared well, they were both healthy as a horse. simple info can change a persons relationship to survival. help them understand how simple it is to actually subsist.

Like here in Hawaii, there is a hardwood called Iron Wood -- if you chew its very tasty needles you will receive all of the nutrients that one would need to subsist indefinitely....oh yeah....that's freedom

    or

it could be a fake alert to keep dick cheney on the back page storyline!

    these goons are goons

better to know what's up locally and forget about this freak show blaring across the international satellite spin story -- its a spin story for gawd sake

oh yeah, and now they want you to go bomb ancient civilizations so that they can complete the Caspien Sea Pipeline

what frightens me is that when the sheople freak out and stampede....this is what you might want to get a head start and slip out of the way by immediately flushing the system with wheatgrass juice, barley, oat etc....get the seeds and simply grow them -- they are fully nutritious even if you do not juice it

I have no idea if this is a fake cry wolf, but we will see....good to put up water etc...even if it doesn't happen, storing water and foodstuffs should be done by every family to prevent panic. Those that do not take care of their own needs are the ones that become the problem...so why would anyone choose to be unprepared. me...I over do it just because i am seriously distrustful of the current power structure. i do not say this to ridicule you bc you are different from me in this way....and

i am offering some very simple things that one can do to address the natural presence of survival terror with pro-active actions that will alleviate the fear. The Mormon church has a model regarding this practice as do the Minonites. These are wise and productive things that indiviuals can do without much expense.

    a quick note about oligarchy

Bremmer passed a rule #81 that makes it difficult to utilize local seed stocks and replaces ancient seed transaction networks with Monsanto

how do you like that kind of freedom and liberty at the end of a gun

come to institue killer food and killer seeds

all in the name of freedom

oh and lets not forget all of the programming that combines physical torture and sex....all the programming that features women as prey

    these are the death monkey's

they always show their ugly head in the end-times

the end of injustice that is

that is what is coming to earth

    the end of injustice

    mark my words

    ladies

it is virtuous to hate injustice

    REFUSE ALL LIARS ENTRY

REFUSE THEIR ACCESS TO THE WOMB

we can make them leave with just this one AGREEMENT

peace to all people of all nations

time to clean up the unholy mess

those that willingly override the will of others will need to look over your shoulder 24/7....being stripped naked in public will be the result prior to your exit

    mark my words

as most of you here who have heard me speak of these things for years now, you know i predicted the economic collapse and you also know that I have predicted that the earth herself will neutrilize the world's various militaries. Beware

and the most reasonable thing a person can do during a Melt Water, is to move away from the Coast Line. Now that many of you are unemployed, this becomes more feasable

I say this because I care

not bc I want to say I told you so, I think there are those here at Soul Cast that really care about thier neighbors, there families etc....

    don't forget that nature provides

Dear MixedNuts,  I sorry, I did not intend to attack you at all.  I am probably getting a little tiny bit excited as I express my disdain with whomever happens to be in my sights - usually the Great Satan, the USA.  Remember you might tend to mistake an attack on her as a personal attack, but nothing could be further from the truth.  Well... that's not absolutely 100% true, but 99% ain't bad.....   Don't worry, my love for you is undiminished.

I just tend to think that some nations are bad and others are worse and these things need to be exposed.  I'm not the best qualified person for that so I have to make it up in pure volume and venom.  (blush)   I get carried way and all worked up.  I'm terrible... I know.....  hehehe

Don't worry... things are changing and one of these days you may even be able to feel proud of the USA......NO.....  That's not quite right.....  Less ashamed.   That's it.
