Today I am going over to my parents' new house. We are going to start moving a few things in. They got full possession of the house yesterday. So we're taking over a freezer that was given to us for them and I'm letting them borrow my card table and chairs. Dad is anticipating company. :-)
I thought maybe they would go furniture shopping today, but they aren't. Dad was able to have some of his guns restored and they need to pick them up. That was a very important thing to my dad from the very night of the fire. One of the guns was his dad's and couple were my brother's. Dad never shoots them, but they have sentimental value to him.
Today is my 11th wedding anniversary. He did get me a card. I guess that's something. I gave him a small but practical gift. We won't be doing any celebrating because we'll be at my folks. We didn't really have anything planned anyway. We probably would have gone to a movie maybe. Nothing romantic by any stretch of the imagination.
I started my day by ordering myself a mother load of Crocs. They have so many different styles now! My favorite is going to be a pair of slingback sandal flats in a leopard print. I also found that they are now making sneakers, so I got a pair of those too. I went a little crazy and got a total of 6 pairs in different summer styles as I plan to hang up my socks for the summer. As I placed the order, I said Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to me!
Crocs are orthopedic in the way that they stimulate the circulation in your feet and mold to the shape of them as they warm with your body temperature. They are so much better than the orthopedic shoes I got by prescription. Those hurt my feet. I only wore them once. They were a waste of time and insurance money.
My sinuses are still majorily clogged. I slept in the recliner last night so that I wouldn't cough so much. I hate to think what I might be like without the Nasonex to help me. In the past, my sinus allergies have knocked me down for a couple of weeks at a time. I'm at least functioning today. I think I need a holster for my box of Puffs though.
Here I am rambling again. I'm nothing but free flowing thoughts these days.

Yep! I kept my promise and cleared out all the sandals I can't wear anymore because of the toe thing. So, my husband said I could have all the Crocs I wanted. I took him literally. :-) Plus, I didn't blow the budget and I told him that it could count as my gifts. I didn't have any shoes that I could really wear without socks other than regular Crocs and I want to be braver this summer than I was last year.
I feel a little better now that my allergy medicine is kicking in. It's a good thing I buy my Puffs in bulk though.
For many years I never got a card either. One year he broke my heart and for the past couple of years I've gotten a card.
I'm not sure how much they will want moved today. I guess it depends on the rain and furniture situation. My mom's brother is giving them a few things and we may go after that.
(Even my comments are rambles. Geeesh!)

Ugh, well I hope you get a handle on that allergy issue soon, I know quite well how that can be as when I was younger I used to have to sleep in a recliner just so I could breath. It was miserable! Good luck with all the moving and whatnot ... and happy anniversary! -

i would recommend a leather or pleather holster for them puffs... or maybe a cigarette case for a small supply when out and about...
either way, your allergies should blow over (pun intended) soon enough. then you can gets to "molding in" those shoes you bought.

Im not a big fan of crocs, they make my feet sweat...but they dont ever stink! Thats cool, usually sweaty feet are stinky feet, but crocs never stink no matter how sweaty...but still, i dont like sweaty feet...But who gives a shit about me! lol congrats on your new shoes you splurger you! My feet do sweat just a little in Crocs, but it is not nearly as bad as they do in tennis shoes. Sometimes my feet get so hot in those that I'm just waiting for them to burst into flames. :-)
