  I'm with Lu, it just seems logical that if there's life here there could be life elsewhere, even Mars.  As many different species as there are on this planet that survive off of opposite things (trees to carbon monoxide giving off oxygen that humans breath anybody?) then why couldn't the same sorts of things happen on other planets.

  Apparently there are some tempers ... and Cops ... I'll have you know, I never said there WAS life anywhere in space, I just said that there COULD be.  Further, I didn't specify a planet, granted I included Mars, but I did not pinpoint it.  I don't think you've been to space, you can't have visited every single planet out there ... so you can't prove that there's not, just as well as I can't prove that there is.  So with that said, that leaves us in a stalemate.  Further, you're pretty naive if you think the government will alert us to everything they find right away.

  the 'face on mars' and  'Pyramids of mars' are optical illusions created by the low resolution of the viking 1 probe in 1976. they created the same sturr that the martian canals did in the later 19th century, which were also optical illusions. it's fun to think about the 'man in the moon' and unicorns in clouds, but they're all just a trick of the human mind.
