So on Weds I phoned o2 as my contract was at it's end and I wanted to upgrade.

The N97 isn't out yet so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and get one of the new iphones. Sure, everything went through fine and i was supposed to have received it by yesterday or today at the latest as it's next day delivery with them.

All my previous orders with o2 have come through fine however this is the first time I've upgraded with them and they're shit with upgrading!

Customer services generally are great, no outsourcing and relatively no wait before speaking to someone.

I phoned them today as I hadn't received it to find out that there aren't any iphones in stock and that my order was dead on the system! Which basically means that if I hadn't phoned them to chase it up I would have been waiting like a lemon for a phone I'd never get!

So now as I am just writing this I get a message from o2 saying "now you have your iphone go to this, this, and this place"
Try checking your systems before texting me you numpties!!!

Anyway, rant over. o2 are usually excellent in customer services and they do a lot for their customers but upgrading? psht! I'll take the simplicity option next time and keep my handset.

    o2, never heard of 'em ... I think lots of places do that though, they hook you with a few things here or there (being nice, having a good introductory deal, etc.) and then once you're in they make life crappy via telling you that you can get a phone they don't have in stock, making you wait, telling you they don't have it, then telling you they do and so on and so forth.  I've been through this many times with AT&T, to be honest, its gotten so frustrating in the past that now my friends ask that I wait to call and deal with the phone company until they're there so they can watch.  Heh, at least I'm funny when I'm getting mad at the phone company I guess!  I hope your situation is resolved sooner rather than later.

    Thanks for the hope hege! I'm sure it's just a hiccup their end though.
    O2 (mobile phone company) have been absolutely brilliant on everything that has happened since I've been with them. This is just one thing that's gone wrong that I was lucky to catch, otherwise I've been extremely happy with o2.
    I guess when something goes awry when normally it's really good it makes that point more poingnant. lol. Ah, it'll be here in 2 days! No more ranting lol.
