I want to talk about dieting and suppliments and do they really do what they claim they do.  I mean seriously being over here in the desert where I am you get a lot of peoploe that decide to try to lose the weight while they are here because they don't have the access to all the junk food and stuff like they do when they are at home.  Therefore you will see people start using suppliments and diet meds to try to speed up the process.  I'm interested in knowing if they work and if so what kind of suppliments have worked for u?  Creatine is one of the most popular suppliments on the market but yet it makes you gain a lot of water weight and you can gain like 20 to 30 pounds in just a few months.  It claims it will make you stronger but what about if you want to get stronger and keep the weight off.  I personally have been trying to slim down my waist but I have not taken any diet pills or suppliments while I have been here.  I have now been here about 15 days nad I have lost so far 3 pounds.  This is just through drinking water, eating healthy and walking as much as possible.  So I just want you all to add in your 2 cents so I can see what others think about this subject.

No clue on the suppliments.  I've always been wary of them.  Increased water, more sleep and exersize with a high protein/dairy diet have always worked to whittle the weight off for me.

I think your 'diet' of eating healthy, drinking water, and exercise is the best and safest you could embark upon. I wouldn't add diet pills. As far as supplements go, if you're eating healthy why would you need them? I think supplements are good if a person knows they are lacking in a certain vitamin or chemical. For instance, if you engage in something that robs vitamin C, take that supplement. If you are low in potassium, eat bananas. Its not necessary to lose over night. Those attempts may not be healthy and  may also be temporary. Slow and healthy is best.

there is NO reason to take pills to increase the rate at which you are losing weight.  it is extremely dangerous for your health to lose more than 1-3 lbs per week.  three pounds in 15 days is great!

losing weight is a long process that should be acheived by natural means and lifestyle changes such as the ones you have already made.  drinking more water, walking more, and eating healthy are an excellent start.

if you are wanting to speed up the process, i would suggest more exercise.  there are plenty of fitness resources on the internet

The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to create healthy habits.  Suppliments are there to help body builders and I doubt most people use them correctly.

A balanced diet with lots of water and at least an hours exercise a day wll get weight off and keep it off.

In my opinion, the only way those supplements work is if a doctor sets up a weight loss regimine and requires you to take them, which most of the things out there a doctor wouldn't be caught dead suggesting.  Although in another way, I could see them working sort of like a sugar pill, they'll make you think that you're losing weight and whatnot, so you'll stay positive and maybe continue healthier habits, if you're pairing the supplements with healthy habits anyway.  Now, I took Ripped Fuel for a while, don't remember what was in it, but in combination with working a fast paced physical job, exercising on my own time and eating better, I lost about 30 lbs in 4 months.  I have no idea if it even helped at all.  As for me now, I'm dieting and losing weight via eating healthier, exercising and adopting a general healthy lifestyle.

    No, they don't work.

They only " fatten " the finances of the companies that manufacture them.
