  See, I disagree with a lot of what Obama is doing, but where I do agree with what he does, I'll say it. But it seems to me that the stuff I would side with Obama on is NOT the stuff most anti-war liberal pacifists would agree with - and given their unprincipled vitriol against Bush, it's THEIR utter lack of criticism of Obama I abhor.

  Obama has yet to do anything that has been proven bad yet.  The media and the masses didn't turn on Bush en masse until 2006.  It wasn't this first few months in office thing.

  Beyond-Would you disagree with this statement:  The majority of the news and information that the majority of people in this country ingest slants to the left.

  I say yes and I also think it is unfair to certain sectors of our society, like the military, ignorant people, the poor, etc.

  No he said he wasn't going to raise taxes on 95% of Americans.  Most Americans don't smoke.  Even if they do they can quit.  Sin taxing is stupid because after a certain point that just drives the black market (we've yet to find where X is for cigarettes) still not good.  I haven't actually heard about the cigarette tax yet but still it's not the same.

  Did you listen to that speech at all?  While there was clearly some predatory lending he also put blame on people who accepted loans they couldn't handle.

  SMB- I'm not knowledgeable enough to know. What I do know is both sides claim the other has the media. But as far as conservatives in the media go, there's plenty of things like this out here if people just read.

  Obama hasn't done anything bad in the eyes of so-called human rights activists? Bombing untried, unaccused, unnamed "militants" in a country with which America is not at war and to our knowledge poses no national security risk? Last I heard, there is no UN sanction against Pakistan, neither is there Congressional authorization for these missile strikes. As the militants and their families are not uniformed military personnel, these strikes are a complete violation of international law.

  I hate Youtube videos but this is pretty specific, he says:

  "no family making less than $250,000.00 a year will see any form of tax increase.  Not your income taxes, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

  The crowd there, I wonder how many of them were smokers.  I don't smoke and could care less about a cigarette tax but this is fairly specific and most people who smoke are in the low income bracket. 

  The government under Bill Clinton pressured banks to make these loans and used groups like ACORN to pull it off.  This is not predatory lending, and he is once again getting away with doublespeak and trying to pass the blame.

  Beyond-I used to go into people houses and talk to them about insurance and one of the things I discovered is poor or lower income people who don't have cable usually watch one of the big three, they read the local newspaper, and don't have the internet.  Our local newspaper is a tabloid it is so radically to the left and everyone knows the big three slant way to the left.  I've said to numerous people that I know, "if you were informed you would be a conservative."  Most people are so ill-informed if they knew exactly what they were voting for they probably wouldn't vote for anyone.  We don't want conservative havens for news we just news organizations to be fair.

  The poor bastards who sold the pure-bred dog to Dick Cheney got death threats for four years... But if Obama says that there is no double standard, then one simply doesn't exist does it? Same with the labor organization for IRS workers who are pissed because if they were to screw up their taxes $5 either way, they'd be fired or disqualified if they were seeking their current positions. Somehow Timmay can fudge $85,000+ and be the head mutherfucker in charge!!
