Hey, I got my maiden's hair grass roots! Three of them! To set up a bronze glory blaze in front of the frondy pampas grass come summertime. I am slowly but surely ridding the yard of balky, water-guzzling bluegrass meant to grow in places like Kentucky, not Colorado.
The zen garden at the Texas visitor center near El Paso is much more to my liking, with grasses, rocks and pebble ponds. And yucca trees! We snitched one somewhere just south of New Mexico as we bounced along the back roads seeing what most people fly over all too gladly. So, that's out there too, where the pampas and maiden grass will rustle and next to the asparagus bed. Can't say it's a boring yard....
