Who's reading CreativeWoman (613):
Today I went to a Borders bookstore and searched for a hypnosis CD to help me deal with my soul full of worry.  I found something that I think will work, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

It's called The Secret Universal Mind Meditation II by Kelly Howell.  She calls her technique "brain wave therapy".

This what the jacket on the CD says:

Master The Law of Attraction

Everyone lives in the world of their own beliefs, and those beliefs have energy.  Your thoughts emit vibrations that literally act as magnets drawing to you people and circumstances that resonate with what you're thinking and feeling.  The secret Universal Mind Meditation II changes your beliefs slowly, subtly and gently while you sleep.  While in the depths of peaceful slumber, all that you need to know to master the law of attraction is whispered into your ears, where it will work on subconscious and super-conscious levels to change your life.

As negative beliefs are replaced with self-empowering truths about yourself, you'll start attracting people, ideas and opportunities that support you in making your dreams a reality.

I thought this could be a general encompassing approach to try.  My docotor  says I need to fill my mind with more "happy things".  I've already read, The Law of Attraction by Michael Losier and agree with that concept.  I've been terrible with the followup though.

What I was really looking for was something from Paul McKenna. The guest computer at Borders said they didn't have what I wanted.  If I still want it, I will have to go online I suppose. I've read "I Can Make You Thin" by him and listen to his accompanying hypnosis CD.  This is in addition to the in person hypnosis weight management.

Now that I'm worrying about worry, we'll see if this can help me.  lol

This has probably bored you to tears, but it was on my mind so this is what you get. :-)

Wow CreativeWoman, I'll say one thing for you. You have a very strong will, you don't give up until you reach you're goals. That fact alone reveals your inner beauty and it's reflection needs to be shared with the world and is. I believe your positive determination is much more then a gift from up above. I think you developed it on your own. It shows a lot of character and I for one am very impressed. Good luck to you.
Oh and by the way, it didn't bore me to tears at all. In fact I enjoyed reading it.

    CayenneMan,
You are very kind.  I have many moments when I want to give up, but there is a stubbornness within me that won't let me do it.  There are so many things about myself that I want to change for the better. Thank you.  :-)

I really admire you and that you're going to these lengths to try to better yourself.  There's many out there who wouldn't even try.  I also think the methods you're using are very interesting.  They're not often talked about where I live, so its not something I know a lot about, but really is something interesting and I like reading about your experiences.  I hope you find that the CD is helpful even if it wasn't what you were looking for!

Thank you, Hegemone.  I have always believed in the power of the mind.  I think that it is the key to unlocking my negative thoughts and behaviors.  Intellectually, I know what I should be doing to make changes, but in my thoughts I sabotage myself.  Worry is often a byproduct of some of that. This is my way of changing that.

I'm very open to alternative healing methods.

I admire that you are  constructively addressing your problems and not "wallowing in your own misery",as many do! I hope you get benifit from this.

    ginger,
Thank you.  I will give it a look.  I weighed this morning and with all the things I'm doing I'm down about six pounds.  I recently bought a yoga mat and pilates bar.  So, that might fit right in.

The law of attraction is indeed a very powerful tool to master. The law that lives right behind attraction, in the balancing act that is our universe, is intention. The intent behind your thoughts, feelings, and actions is what sets attraction in motion. Thoughts are the source of creation. Creative, you are well on your way. You will find that what you intend in your waking life will begin to manifest faster and faster. It is speeding up the karmic cycle. There are many souls on the earth plane that are experiencing this now. We are on the cusp of a new age. The most important thing to remember is the third law. It is allowance. This is the reason I am writing you as it has everything to do with worry. The best way to release your intent with the most energy is through your feelings or emotions. Send it from your heart chakra. Imagine what it will feel like when you achieve your goals. Envision what it will look like. The details are not important. Imagine it has already happened. The universe will fill in the gaps, only if you allow it to. This involves a certain amount of trust in the energies around you, to be able to release your thoughts so that the energies that vibrate at the same frequency as yours will be at play with your intent. This will manifest your intent even more brilliantly that you could have ever imagined for yourself. Love is the energy at play, as long as you release fear. The first time something you intend manifests, it will be a moment of clarity. The more this happens the more trust you will have in relinquishing your fears of what will come next. You will find that this releases some of your responsibility to any given situation, and worry will fly out the window. The fourth and final law is balance. When all previous laws are in line, balance comes naturaly. I hope some or all of what I have written will resonate with your soul. I hope it is not to sci-fi for you. Good luck on your journey. I would love to see a follow up post about how the CD is working for you. I have taged your post with 11:11. Google it... you might be suprised what you find. There are alot of amazing people on soulcast studying it.

    Human Becoming,
I am encompassing a lot of visualization of my goals within my hypnosis work.  I especially focus on what I will look and feel like thin.  I always have a big smile and laughter in that visualization.

I will do a post later on and let you know how it is working for me.  Thank so much for your insight.

I picked up a book from my local library titled "The Power of Now." Its been a real eye opener to me about how to become an "observer" of my thoughts and worries and all that.He incorporates some of the modern religions and emphasizes on the power of meditation. It might be a good read for you if you haven't already read it..... it would help you understand the thoughts in your mind...and learn how to take back control instead of letting negative thoughts ran amock in your mind. According to the book, its not the negative thoughts that are the enemy, its how we react to them. Like if the thought pops into your head, "You are a mean lonely person" you either react to that by admitting it is true, or as an observer, you let the thought wash through you, without letting it take root or get you in a downward spiral of "ya that is why my life sucks blah blah blah" If you can give it a go...it may make sense to you.... or not.

    cntlvmenuf,
I've started reading that book.  I've found it a little hard to get in to.  It sounds like I should forge ahead.  I read lots of books on positive thinking related topics. I guess we have that in common.  :-)
