  all the photos are very good.
  but the one i liked most is that of the mayan women in their intricately-woven skirts.
  they remind me of my own homeland and my people's indigenous wear.
  let me guess: they are carrying some garments and other wares for sale?

  Moon~Thank you so much. That means a lot to me. I love to photograph the women too. I made friends with several women in the park. Bought things. Chatted. Admired their children-easy to do. Then I politely ask if they mind if I photograph them. Usually they say yes but sometimes no and I always respect that. It isn't because they are objects of curiousity, it is because of the beauty and strength that they have. Let's see. Sometimes babies are in the slings, that is the original purpose, sometimes goods for sale. Usually hand wove scarfs or table runners. Some jade jewelery. When I purchase something I always ask if I can take their picture, to honor them. Then I give the photo along with the gift to friends and relatives. I expain how long it took to make the object and how it was done.

  CMan~Glad you liked the pictures. It's nice to hear that you understand the connection between Guate and I. Now Cman, does that lady look like she is Guatemalan? Most women there are under 5 feet. Black hair, lovely tan skin. Petite and pretty. That large, very white woman is ME. (like you didn't know!)

    I didn't even think about it,  but you're right, a Guatemalan tour guide wouldn't have beautiful blonde hair. But then again I could give a tour of Memphis and I don't look anything like Elvis.  :o)   You are very pretty.
