US
missiles struck a compound in Pakistan Wednesday, reportedly killing 17 and injuring many more.  By my unofficial count, this brings Obama's Pakistani death total to 55 since he was inaugurated in January.

The continued silence from self-described anti-war human rights advocates is both deafening and telling. The Obama Administration has reportedly given up the "War on Terror" language. Oh gee - so now that we're no longer at war, we can go to calling these robotic missile strikes wanton killing of people in a country that poses no threat to American national security.

Grow a pair, you pathetic hypocrites! Either defend the murderer you put in the White House or protest his unilateral brutality the way you protested Bush! Or just sit there in silence and pretend that he's not killing unaccused, untried, unconvicted people living in a country where we are not at war. Keep on claiming that moral high ground, you liberal Crusaders! You self-righteously stand on the bloodied corpses and maimed bodies of Pakistani men, women and children.

OK I HAVE HAD ENOUGH! You’re simply wrong

The problem in Pakistan is that regions of the country especaly areas such as the swat province are they are now under Taliban control and there for if this problem is not tackled by fore the Taliban and even Al Qaeda could regroup. If this situation was to go completely ignored or left to the Pakistanis to deal with then Pakistan its self could turn into another Afghanistan.

And it’s not just drone attacks the American military are involved with. CENTCOM are directly advising their counterparts in the Pakistani military. American and British Special Forces are also operating inside Pakistan. Most of this work will likely be surveillance of high profile targets and leaser designating targets for attack. The majority of this work is likely to be carried out by the CIA’s SAD division however due to the units small size its is unlucky that they could archive this role them self’s without the help of task force black.

There is another dimension to this problem with Pakistan that requires intervention, this problem is the fact that Pakistan was the only contry to offialy recognise the Taliban as the official government of Afghanistan. The Taliban them self’s originated in Pakistan and were supported by ISI. There for not only is Pakistan not capable of dealing with the problem them self’s, history would suggest that they can’t be trusted to deal with it. Baring in mind that Pakistan is a nuclear power then this is truly a worrying state of affairs

Yes I do agree with you that the loss of innocent lives is most unfortunate. However as I have explained if Barack Obama was to do nothing the consequences could be ultimately catastrophic for not only the middle east but also for global security as a hole if Islamic extremists were to get hold of one of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons

If Barack Obama gets a pass for killing foreign civilians in the name of national security, shouldn't Bush get the same?

This is not about Obama policy - it's about how the wanking left goes rabid over Bush defending our nation but looks the other way when their peace and love Messiah kills Muslim women and children.
