It doesn't matter when he held his silly virtual town hall meeting, nobody was watching and I'm not sure anybody even knew it was happening before it happened. The important thing to take into account is that he very clearly botched it on two counts I might add.
The question of course was should we legalize weed. His answer was that he doesn't think that is a good move, and worse was the way he approached his answer. It was clearly condescending towards those who think that weed should be legalized.
"I don't know what this says about the internet community" were his exact words.
The question here is what does he really think and mean. A lot of people are saying he needs to be given the benefit of th doubt and trusted he's not making his move on that because it's too controversial and he'd rather work on important things that most people agree with before tackling that issue. I disagree.
He's still part of a generation that isn't liberal with drug use, homosexuality, pornography etc. But I'm not sure.
