Typically, two innings matches are played over
three to five days with at least six hours of cricket being played each
day. One innings matches are usually played over one day for six hours
or more. There are formal intervals on each day for lunch and tea, and
shorter breaks for drinks, where necessary. There is also a short
interval between innings.
Those are the official rules, but it can be as short as you want it to be if it is just for fun! I don't know what the rules are for indoor cricket. If you are not REALLY keen on the game it can get drawn out and a bit boring! I prefer the one day matches. I think they are restricted to 8 hours . I would think that a baseball player would be able to pick cricket up fairly easily. Ball speeds are similar and the cricket bat has a flat face and is quite a bit wider than a base ball bat. I don't know how far apart the bases are in baseball but in cricket you have to run 66 feet to be safe. I was surprised to see how well you guys have done in international soccer,I reckon you could do the same with cricket!
