Have you ever noticed the symmetry that exists in nature?  Have you ever wondered how it got to be that way?  And have you ever wondered how the natural symmetry of the universe affects our lives and if there's a way that we can use it?  Of course, everything we do and everything we create mimics the symmetry that is found in nature.  And if you're like me, you never gave it much thought.

But a friend recently referred me to a web site on Sacred Geometry (which I had never heard of before).  She said that the technology on the site was developed by a guy that, due to a head injury that he sustained in a car accident, had experienced over 500 near death experiences in a five year period, and during the course of these experiences was given the knowledge to develop this technology.   I took a look at the it, because this is an old friend who has led me in some pretty interesting directions in the past, and I trust her judgement.  At first, I'll have to say I was pretty underwhelmed with the site.  There was a video of some dudes on MTV making all kinds of claims about these Sacred Geometry stickers (which they called 'Sacred G'... I really hate cutesie names for things).  They put a bunch of these stickers on the bottoms of their skate boards and claimed that it gave them all kinds of energy and helped them to accomplish some tricky maneuvres.  Uh huh.

I read through some more of the stuff until I came across their multi-level marketing plan.  That just about did it for me.  Catchy name geared toward the hip-hop crowd, magic stickers, and now a pyramid scheme (kind of appropriate for a Sacred Geometry scheme, don't you think?).  What on earth could my friend have been thinking?   So, I was just about to click off the site when I saw a button called "Meditation Station."  I thought I'd take a look at it before I turned the computer off for the night.  I turned on the spinning wheel made up of a colored pattern called the "flower of life" arranged in a hexagram, the colors following a pattern reminiscent of cannabis leaves, and did the 13 prana breaths as guided by the voice of Cory Herter, the owner of the web site.  Then, as instructed, I continued to watch the spinning wheel of color while listening to the mantra of I AM statements chanted by a Darth Vader-like synthesized voice.

When it was finished, I thought, "Well, that was stupid."  But, I've been known to do stupider things, so it didn't bother me too much that I'd wasted a bit of time doing something silly.  I mean, you never know unless you try, right?  Then, I stood up and stretched my arms up over my head, and.... both of my arms went straight up.

Now, that might not seem particularly remarkable to you, but I have had chronic pain in my shoulders for the last three years (long story).  Historically, it's been confined to the left shoulder, but in the last few months, the left shoulder got better, and the right shoulder started hurting.  And I lost so much mobility in that shoulder that just reaching up in the cupboard to get a couple of plates caused me excruciating pain.

After less than 5 minutes of doing this meditation, suddenly, I could raise my right arm all the way up with no pain and only a little bit of tightness.  The condition wasn't cured, but it certainly was alleviated, and I was intrigued.  I went back to the site and started exploring more.  The next thing I did was watch the free online DVD where Cory Herter explains the fundamentals of Sacred Geometry... all 16 parts of it.  That might sound like the most exciting topic, but I tell you, I was glued to the screen until six o'clock in the morning.  All of that natrual symmetry and its implications for humanity started to become clear to me.  And pain relief was only the beginning.

Incredible as it may seem, these designs can be used to purify and energize water and food, clear out emotional memory from your body cells, which in turn, unbinds the energy stored in those memories and making it available for you to use, advance your spiritual development, and so much more.   Well, even as impressed as I was with the geometry lesson, I'm always a bit of a skeptic.  Not that I adhere to any belief systems that negate these things out of hand (obviously, if you've read any of my recent posts), but I am an empiricist.  I need to see with my own eyes (ears, mouth, hands, whatever) that something works before I buy it hook, line and sinker.

So, I sent in for the free introductory package.  Yes, free.  That says a lot right there, if the guy believes in his stuff so much that he's willing to send you a free sample and let you prove to yourself whether it works or not.  Because I live overseas, I'll have to wait about 20 days before my package arrives, but some of the stuff comes electronically to your email, so I've been playing around with that.  The first thing that arrived was my free radiation shielf for my cell phone.  You can get yours here.  Just print it out using a color printer on the highest quality setting, and you're good to go.

I got my radiation shield the next day, and because my shoulder pain was starting to creep back, I thought I'd act on something I read and just put one of the shields directly on my arm over the distressed tendon.  Fifteen or twenty minutes later, my pain was gone.  I hadn't been imagining things the day before.

Now, I was anxious for my free charger to arrive via email.  When it did, I immediately set about doing the water test and the sleep test.  The water test is simple.  You "charge" a bottle of water by placing it on top or under the printed out "charger" which is the same design as the radiation shield, and leave it overnight.  You have a control bottle of water that you don't charge, and these two bottles should be separated by at least six feet.  The next morning, I made my flatmates do the taste test with me.

First, we tasted the regular bottled water that we always drink.  Then, we tasted the bottled water that had been charged overnight.  To me, I could taste a slight difference at first, but then the second glass still had an aftertaste like the uncharged water.  My flatmates thought that the charged water, although it didn't taste any different, felt somehow lighter or softer on the tongue.  So, the test was inconclusive.  However, later that day, I ran across a site about some Russian doctors who had developed a similar technology, and also a forum post by a guy who had had less than spectacular results with Cory Herters water test.  Between the two sources, I came up with these pointers for improving the test...

1) Use tap water instead of bottled water, and the results will be more noticeable.  I should mention that I live in Turkey, and nobody drinks tap water here.  It is pretty nasty and sometimes smells like raw sewage, so the city delivers free drinking water in a truck every Monday.

2) Taste the charged water first, and the un-charged water second, because the charged water's cleaner taste might otherwise be masked by the taste of the uncharged water in your mouth.

3) Hold the charger 2-4 inches from the water and move it back and forth for a few minutes with intention to add your own energy to the mix.

In addition to following these tips, I used a smaller quantity of water.  Instead of charging a whole bottle, I charged individual tea glasses.  I filled all the glasses with tap water at the same time and left half of them on the kitchen table without a charger while I put the others in the living room and set them on top of a charger.  In the morning, while waiting for my flatmates to wake up, I moved the charger back and forth in front of the water glasses as recommended and I could feel the slight resistance that they said I'd feel.  Then, I put the glasses back on the charger.

When my flatmate woke up (the other one had gone out of town), we did the taste test.  First, we drank the charged water.  Drank it all down.  My flatmate was especially thirsty so she really guzzled it.  It tasted like normal water.  Nothing special.  I was preparing myself to be disappointed again.  Then, we tried the un-charged water.  I took a small sip and had to spit it back out in the glass, it tasted so bad.  My flatmate also took a sip and spit it out.  She said she didn't taste the difference, but she smelled it big time.  And I hadn't smelled the difference, but I tasted it big time.  Different sensibilities.  Anyway, my flatmate, who had been snickering at me for days was now a believer.   And so was I.

Now, for the sleep test.  But alas, my printer ran out of ink, and it was raining out, so I didn't feel like walking downtown to get a cartridge.  So, instead of printing out one of the large chargers to put under my bed, I pulled the image up on my computer screen, put it on the floor next to my bed, and left it on all night.  Some of the results I was told that I might be able to detect were either an extremely restful sleep, or insomnia, enhanced dreams, and waking up with more energy.

I had a hard time sleeping that night, which is not usual for me... could have been due to the light from the computer.  To my disappointment, I couldn't remember any dreams (also unusual for me, because I journal my dreams every morning and generally have a good memory for them).  In the morning, I woke up much earlier than usual, and felt quite energetic.  I repeated this for a few nights, and my dreams came back, and finally, I went and printed out some chargers downtown, came back and slept on a stack of three of them.

The next morning, I woke up early again, around 6:30.   I went out to get some tea to drink while I journaled my dreams, stopping in the bathroom on the way.  By the time I got out of the bathroom, I felt so energetic that I decided I didn't need the tea.  Then, I sat on my bed and began to journal, a process that takes me a couple of hours or so each morning.  As I journaled, I kept getting sleepier and sleepier.  I had had a huge amount of dreams that night, so I had a lot of writing to do.  Two hours later, I still wasn't finished, but I could barely keep my eyes open.  So, I lay down and let myself drift back to sleep for an hour.  I tried to journal again when I woke up, but I felt so tired that I did go and make myself a tea.  While I was making the tea, I felt pretty awake, but I made it anyway, and drank it while I finished journaling.  An hour later, I was finished journaling, but I was sleepy again.  I didn't know what was wrong with me.  I went to the bathroom again and felt myself wake up.  Then, I went to get dressed, and sat on the bed and immediately felt sleepy.  Finally, I understood what was going on.  It was the three chargers under my bed.  Every time I went out of the room, I felt awake, and every time I came back, I wanted to sleep.

That was a week ago, and those effects have since worn off, but I am convinced that there is something to this.  I can't wait for my free samples to arrive in the mail.  The web site has like 37 different tests you can do with the chargers.  I'd love it if some of you would download these things and do the tests and let me know what happens.

Who would have ever thought a little piece of paper could do so much?

I must be a dumb shit, I did the breathing and looked at that color thing for a couple minutes. It was pretty, but I don't know, didn't feel any different.

I think I am a rocks and dirt guy Kru, this high brow stuff doesn't knock the dirt out of my ears.

mobil:  Wow!  You are just full of surprises.  I would have never expected you to do the meditation.  Thanks for your openness.  I don't think the meditation would have done much for me either if I hadn't noticed that my pain went away.  It was a pretty dramatic difference.  And even with that, it took the water test to really convince me.  Rocks and dirt... haha.. well guess what?  So am I.  Did you know I used to be a geolgist?  See?  We have more in common than you think.  :)

That is odd Kru, I used to have allot of geolgists working for me. Like everything else some were really good and some not so.

Several were really good at explaining things, I used to walk around the site with them and soak up their knowledge. Very interesting subject matter.

    Why'd you give that up?

mobil:  Well, you know me.  I get bored easily.  About once every 7 years, I have to change my life completely.  So, I quit doing that and opened up a foreign language school and taught Spanish for Landscapers (among other things).  :)

it's good to be that open to new ideas. i just watched the video, and i can't make heads or tails out of it. something about a pyramid spinning and turning into a cone. something about the pyramids being a great mystery. perhaps it all went right over my head. anyway you sound like an interesting person to me.

i can't think on something like sacred geometry. the only sacred thing i can think on is love, and the loves i lost last year.
