I'm not leaving SoulCast, and I'm not pulling my previous posts. I'm just not posting anymore. Not for a while, anyway.

I'll probably pop by every once in a while to read some posts, maybe leave a comment. But for now, I'm done.

Has SoulCast changed, as many people have been speculating recently, or have I? Either way, the honeymoon's over. I'm just not finding the same sense of community I did before, and the $1.16 I've made from AdSense (or Cents, whatever) isn't enough to make me keep writing here. I won't say I'll miss you, because I'll probably be around. Keep writing, friends.

PS- was it ALIENated who posted on the stages of blogging? I think this is one of them... we'll see if I come back and actually start writing something that everyone can enjoy and find interesting...

I hope you will not be gone for long. Take care! I hope to see you around. Do drop by once in a while.

I felt the same way at least twice if not three times. I felt recently I was not part of the community because I was not in with the popular crowd. But some new people came by and offered their support and showed their interest. I decided to stop trying to be popular and just have fun again.

I meant to subscribe to you a long time ago. Finally made a point to stop by and now I see you are off. Well, I'll subscribe anyway and hopefully you will come back soon.

As hotaka said I believe these things are cyclical so hope you will be back at some point. I liked reading your posts but didn't always have anything constructive to say so didn't comment. Perhaps the lesson is that a simple comment can make the difference even if it isn't a substantial one.

Whoever thought that this was going to be another stage of mental deprivation inherent to your demented nature must have a lot of headaches.

This competition to get in with the popular crowd is kind of fruitless, because it doesn't mean you'll have the best or most interesting posts even if you manage to have the most
    hits.

Some people maintain popularity by posting survey questions in various forms, drawing ads that pay the most and hoping for the best. It's a strategy that gets irritating once too many bloggers are on to it. Pages and pages full of question-marked headlines. And that alone is not enough.

I discovered how to get up to position number 5 in popularity
before I realized that blogging for that goal alone was only reasonable IF you were trying to make money, and COULD make a substantial amount (because there is TIME required to achieve and maintain popularity.

Almost all of the "most" popular spend inordinate amounts of time at the keyboard and are probably generating .005 cents per day. Luckily they are living off of spouses or parents
or trust funds or work at their computers anyway and can hang out here 8-10 hours a day.

We superheroes have to spend time saving lives as well.

Better than being popular, I have found, is having a cool post that everyone reads and comments on. I've done that a few times and that's much more satisfying in MY case because it's the content of the initial post itself that got recognition, indicating some mental connection bewteen me and the readers.

That's why I prefer being among those who appear under the categories Most Commented and Most Viewed "ALL" meaning of all time. And not for asking a poll question, but for putting forth concepts, making assertions that you can react to, and going for a solution to a perceived problem.

    Good luck and good writing.

Deja vu. That comment sure looks familiar, TNP. Not sure
why. Anyway, cfa, give it a rest and see you later. I am
sure of that. No one leaves the hotel California, I mean
    SoulCast. Just ask TNP.

I do understand, cfa. It does seem like SoulCast has lost some of the appeal that first drew me to the site.

I hope to hear from you every now and then, as I enjoyed our conversations together.

Give your little man a kiss for me, and I hope to hear from you soon.

But if I don't, best of luck to you.

    **sigh**

    Another one bites the dust.

Why is everyone leaving? You don't have to post to be a member. Just be happy reading and commenting. Money? Soulcast is not the right place to make it.....

I agree that having fun is the most important. I enjoy reading and laughing. I love what others post on SoulCast and I hope you will stick around.
