Karl Rove is again in the news attempting to blame the Democrats for the mess our nation is in. It is hard to forget that, in eight years under President  George W. Bush, we amassed more debt than this nation had in the previous 220 years of its existence. Bush took the largest surplus in history and ran it into the largest deficit in history with his ill advised policies.

Tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of business and the invasion of Iraq were all obscene blights on America. How can anyone be blind enough not to see this? This is not rocket science.

  Simply look at the cause and effect. Yet, we still hear the Republican Party demanding more tax cuts for the rich and more deregulation. How does more of the same get us out of the mess it got us into?

 For people to hope that the Obama administration fails in its efforts to right our sinking ship is more than just un-American, it is treasonous. What happened to government oficials who obeyed the will and interests of the American people? Why can't our overpaid politicians forget self interests, party labels and party  line only voting and get together for the betterment of our nation?

 The travesties of our political structure are the reason House Bill 45 (registration of firearms) was introduced. Politicians do fear backlash from the American people who they no longer adequately representas they were elected to do.
