My day has felt long, but productive.  I just need to drain a little stress.  So please be warned that this is one of my rambles about daily life.

I just printed off the tax report.  Finally I am finished. That is a huge sigh of relief.  I had misplaced the receipts for the county taxes and had to do a search through all the paperwork in the house.  I finally found it in the folder I take with me to the DMV to license vehicles.  We don't have as many deductions as last year, but I think that is because on the health front the expenses were way down.  No hospital stay involved this time.  Thank heaven.

I still need to make out the monthly bills.  I discovered today that I've missed paying the phone bill on time.  The perfectionist in me is not happy about that.  One of my pet peeves about my husband is him handing me mail in the middle of me doing something. If he doesn't, he says he'll forget.  He's very bad about making stacks of mail on the table.  I think it's junk mail and don't always get to it in a timely way.  I have a spot for the bills, but....   Oh well, enough of that.

For lunch I made a really good homemade chicken noodle soup.  As a side dish I made a romaine salad.  It was very good.  I think supper is going to be a hamburger helper dish. I'll need to get that started soon.

There was a washing machine emergency this morning. It sounded like a monster in the basement.  It had been doing some banging and getting off balance frequently.  I asked you know who to look at it last week.  He was too busy. This morning it flipped out.  It turns out that the tub had gotten off balance and he was able to put it back on track.  I might add this was one day after the warranty ran out.  Anyway, I'm able to do laundry again.

He was just in wanting me to order more Agricillin for his cows.  I've already ordered it and it should be in tomorrow.  He wants some other item too, but I don't think he's had me order it before.  I'll have to do a search for that.

I also need to order some more of the essential oils I use.  I'm always ferreting out the best prices I can find for them.

My blogs need work. They've been sacrificed while I've been working on taxes. However, I've been on Twitter off and on today and have had an uptick in views on my diabetic blog.  People really do follow the link there when you post.  It amazes me.

I've had the tv on in the background all afternoon listening to the Blue Collar Comedy guys.  They are funny every time I listen in.

I've even managed to put away a bit of laundry, but still have more to do.  That might wait until tomorrow though.

My blood sugar has been better today, but not perfect.  I've got to learn to stop internalizing my stress.

Thanks for reading along.  I hope you are having a good day.

All in all it sounds like an okay if not exciting day CW.

I'm glad your're blood sugar is better but I really don't know what that means. As far as the tax thing goes . . . I can't handle it. Totally stresses me out, my situation is very complicated. Throughout the year all my receipts and important documents go into a metal safe box. At the end of the year I pass it on to an accountant. If he crosses me I deal with him. Last time it only cost him a couple of fingers.
The 'Twitter' thing ?  Blueberry ? I don't know anything about it but it sounds interesting. I have big hands, I'd probably have a problem. Have a great night and get some sleep CreativeWoman, it's been a pleasure talking to you.

    uniquely,
It wasn't exciting, but it feels good to have accomplished things I wanted to get done.

    CayenneMan,
My blood sugar should always be below 140, but not too much below 80.  Being diabetic, I have to try and keep between the lines so to speak.  It would be easier if it didn't have a mind of its own.

The taxes are complicated here too.  I do what I can and then pass it off to the accountant.

Twitter is a website.  (Twitter.com)  It's sort of like chat.  You can do it from your computer.

    Thanks for stopping by.

I got our taxes done last week (or was it the week before). Ours are pretty
easy and not as painful as they soon will be under you know who. I also do
my child's return, which is also pretty easy because it is the 1040A (is that
right). I clicked over to your Sweet Diabetic blog. You have been very busy
it looks like to me. I clicked on a few ads for you. I hope it helps. I started a
blog on another site, but have had few views. One friend looked and clicked
a few ads. It made me a couple of bucks (Adsense). The first since last April.
I figure that is when Adsense stopped working on SoulCast. It is hard to
keep any interest in posting new entries when no one views it at all. That
site is very strange and I am not sure how anyone would ever know you
were on there. SoulCast is really simple to use. I wish Adsense still worked
here. My other blog is pretty tame. I suppose I should find a political web
site and blog there. Of course, my views would probably get them expelled
from Adsense, too. If you see some rotating lights and hear a humming
sound over your house tonight, it will be me. I did some work on my saucer
yesterday and I may take it for a spin later tonight. Sleep tight.

Your day was quite a handful.  Glad to know that you went through it and everything ended well.

    ALIEN,
Thank you for checking out The Sweet Diabetic and clicking on some of the ads.  That's very sweet of you.  :-)  I have been very busy there.  I need to do more, too.

I've started another blog at Blogspot about the economic recovery.  So, in a way I'm writing a little about politics too.  If you would like to PM me the link to yours, I would be happy to read it.

Now, don't be teasing me about that fly over.  I'll be sleeping with one eye open.  :-)

    scipio,
It was a full day.  Tomorrow is the tax appointment.  After that, I can truly relax.

Well CW, I hope you're feeling much better after that little vent.  Sounds like you've certainly been in a whirlwind of go go go sort of feelings.  At least those taxes are out of the way and maybe you can begin concentrating on the normal day-in, day-out tasks again.  I know how it is to misplace mail and have that 'Oh crap!' reaction ... especially since I'm a worry wort and I won't rest until its paid, lol.  I know your mentioning folding laundry and having the TV in the background reminded me of all of my chores I've got to get to when I get home today.  In a way I don't want to go home ... but I don't want to stay here at work either!  Again, I hope life is MUCH better for you at this point in time!

    Hegemone,
I'm doing ok today.  I have some anxiety that will probably stay with me until after the tax appointment tomorrow.  Then I may just goof off for a day after that.

internalising stress can be one of the most harmful things we can do to our bodies and our health CW, you know that, so maybe your quiet day was good in this way, made you remember.
  • CreativeWoman said on Mar 16, 2009....
    Lucy,
It did make me remember.  This morning I exercised and then took a drive out by the lake this afternoon to try and de-stress more.  It helped a little.
